Muldrow starts Class 5A regional action

Muldrow is scheduled to begin its Class 5A regional tournament at North Rock Creek Thursday when the No. 14 Lady Bulldogs (14-7 overall) take on seventh-ranked Perkins-Tryon (18-4) at 2:15 p.m.

North Rock Creek is located near Shawnee.

Second-ranked North Rock Creek (31-2) plays No. 15 Eufaula (20-8) in the other first-round game of the tournament.

Two of the four teams in the regional will advance to next week’s state tournament. The Lady Bulldogs qualified for the regional tournament by winning their district tournament at home last Tuesday.
