During the July 13 meeting of the Vian Board of Education an agreement was made with Center for Communication & Engagement for the upcoming school year.
Vian Superintendent Victor Salcedo, during his report, spoke on COVID-19 funding and the new high school project, and Danny Oliver conducted a patron presentation.
The board voted for an approval of agreement with Jenkins & Kemper, CPA, for payroll services.
Ed Brockman presented financial reports, which included General Fund encumbrances #1 through #334 and changes for a net increase $3,243,182.40 within the 2022-2023 General Funds; #1 through #3 change increase of $113,687.67 within the 2022- 2023 Building Fund, #1 changes increase of $474,400 within the 2022-2023 Building Bond Fund.
The board also voted to open a brokerage bank account with Armstrong Bank; remove Teresa Craighead from the Armstrong Bank account; and to add Erica King to the school‚s bank account at Armstrong Bank.
During an executive session, the board took no action but upon reconvening, they approved a 12-month employee payroll accrual for the 2022-23 school year.
During a July 13 meeting, Brockman presented General Fund encumbrances #335 through #339 and changes for a net increase of $11,863.49 within the 2022-2023 General Funds, which were approved by the board members.
