An OU Health neurologist will discuss stroke diagnosis and treatment in a virtual presentation scheduled from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, July 29.
A stroke occurs when a blood vessel that carries oxygen to the brain is either blocked by a clot or bursts. When it occurs, that part of the brain will not function as it should. The effects of a stroke depend on the location of the obstruction and the extent of brain affected.
Evgeny V. Sidorov, M.D., PhD, a neurologist who specializes in stroke treatment at OU Health, will share important information about recognizing and preventing strokes. Following the presentation, attendees will be able to engage in a question and answer session with the doctor.
The presentation is offered at no cost to participants. Advance registration is required by going to: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_ncnkum6iR2OvU3C9mBXZ5Q. Registrants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
