A fatality collision that happened Wednesday just before 6:30 p.m. on Hwy. 100 has claimed the life of a Gore woman and left another in stable condition.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Timothy Parish #373 of the Sequoyah County Detachment of Troop C reported the accident occurred around 150 feet south of 990 Road and 1.4 miles north of Gore when a 2019 Hyundai Tucson, driven by Meghan Lane, 33, was traveling northbound and went left of center on a curve, striking a 2019 Toyota Tacoma traveling southbound.
Lane was reportedly pronounced deceased at the scene by Pafford EMS. The driver of the Tacoma, Amanda McKinley, 40, of Gore, was transported by Air Evac to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where she was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries.
Parish said as of press time, Lane‚s condition at the time of the accident remains under investigation, according to the accident report.
Parish was assisted by Captain Jensan Idellett #41 of Troop Z and Lt. Derek Griffey #131 of Troop C, Gore Police Department, Sequoyah County Sheriff‚s Office, Gore Fire Department, Pafford EMS and Air Evac.
