Kelly announced as new Harps District Manager for Eastern OK stores

Harps Food Stores, Inc. has appointed Derrick Kelly as the new District Manager for Harps locations in Eastern Oklahoma.

Kelly began his career with Harps in August of 2003 as the Dairy Manager at Store #170 in Springdale, Ark. while attending college at the University of Arkansas. In March 2004 he was selected for the Manager Trainee Program and was later promoted to Grocery Manager at Store #170 in Springdale where he held that position at multiple locations. Harps Food Stores, Inc. has appointed Derrick Kelly as the new District Manager for Harps locations in Eastern Oklahoma.

Kelly began his career with Harps in August of 2003 as the Dairy Manager at Store #170 in Springdale, Ark. while attending college at the University of Arkansas. In March 2004 he was selected for the Manager Trainee Program and was later promoted to Grocery Manager at Store #170 in Springdale where he held that position at multiple locations. In 2009 he was promoted to Store Manager where he worked at numerous locations across Arkansas and Oklahoma. In 2017 he took the next step in his career as the 10Box Merchandiser where he held this position for five years.

“I feel very fortunate to have been able to work in so many locations, and work alongside so many great people,” Kelly said.

“Derrick has distinguished himself for many years as the 10Box Merchandiser and was highly recommended. Congratulations to Derrick for this new challenge in his Harps Career,” Kim Eskew, Chairman and CEO of Harps, said. Harps is a 100 percent employeeowned company which operates 134 stores in four states, including Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. Harps is the largest employee owned company in the state of Arkansas and was founded by Harvard and Floy Harp in Springdale, Ark. in 1930. Since then, the company has grown to employ over 6,900 associates.
