Vian‚s 5th annual Burnin‚ Down Main Street, featuring a car and motorcycle show, burnout and cruise night is set for Saturday, Oct. 1, in downtown Vian at the Anna Belle Farmer Park.

This year‚s event is hosted once again by B&B Auto and Vian Wheel and Tire with $2,500 in cash and prizes.

Registration for the car and motorcycle show will begin at 10 a.m. and registration fee is $10. Judging will take place at 3 p.m. The cruise will follow at dusk.

Registration fee for the burnout competition is $10 and will be taken until 5 p.m.

As in past years, proceeds from the day are donated back to a local organization or a project in need. Organizers said a portion of the proceeds from last year‚s event went to Vian Nursing & Rehab‚s angel tree for their residents.

There will also be food and T-shirts available for purchase, along with raffles and live music.
