Petty Officer 2nd Class Bobby Whitekiller U.S.
Navy I entered the U.S. navy on September 13th 1989 at Recruit Training Center San Diego, California. Afterwards, I attended Air Traffic Control School at Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) Millington, TN. Following the completion of training I was stationed at Naval Air Station South Weymouth, MA. While at NAS South Weymouth I also served as a Naval Police and remained at NAS South Weymouth the September 12, 1993.
Later in 2000 I joined the Naval Reserve and started drilling down at NAS JRB Fort Worth with Naval Air base support unit Fort Worth. After 9/11/2001 several members of our unit had been called on and deployed all over the world. I took a voluntary recall back to active duty for 3 years as a Naval Reserve Recruiter in Waco, Texas from April 2, 2002 to April 1, 2005. It has been an honor serving this great nation throughout my life. I continue to serve even today, working for the Department of Veterans Affair’s processing compensation and pension claims for my brother and sister veterans and have done so since 2009.
