Millard W. McCormack was drafted January 23, 1951. He returned home on October 23, 1952 after 21 months service with almost 9 months spent on the front line war zone. He was in the 24th Infantry Division; 3rd Engineer D Company. He received his Honorable discharge from the Army Reserve on September 27, 1956. He will soon be 91 years old and still stands proud of his service in the US Army.
Elbert Thompson Private 1st Class United States Army, World War II, Germany Fought in the trenches during the cold winter months, almost freezing to death. Hospitalized with Trench Foot and as a result of his condition was disabled. Elbert Thompson is the father of Harry Thompson. He was a Cherokee Citizen.

In front of truck driven while on front lines of Korea Millard W. McCormack was drafted January 23, 1951. Samuel E. McCawley Chief Master Sergeant Samuel E. McCawley inlisted in the Army in 1946 serving at Camp Robinson Arkansas, Fort Sam Houston Texas, basic training at Fort Bliss Texas and Fort Ord California. He re-enlisted in the Air Force in 1948 serving at Lackland Air Force BaseTexas, Camp Kilmer new Jersey and Fort Dix New Jersey. In 1950 he transferred to Kadena Air Base Okinawa serving there during the Korean War at the 20th Air Force Headquarters until November 1951. He then transferred to Vance Air Force Base Enid Oklahoma. Later he served at Flying Training air Force Headquarters in Waco Texas, then at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas. He then was stationed at wheeler Air Force Base in Hawaii, coming back to serve at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City Oklahoma. His final assignment was at March Air Force Base in Riverside California retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1969 completing 22 years, 2 months and 22 days of active duty. He was discharged from the Retired Reserve on June 8, 1977.
