He attended United States Marine Corps Boot Camp at San Diego, Calif. From Oct. 28, 2003 to Jan. 18, 2004. He attended USMC Combat training at Camp Pendleton, Calif. From Feb. 2004 to March 2004. Gordon attended Wheel Mechanics Training at Camp Johnson North Carolina from March 2004 to July 2004 and reported for duty at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina from July 2004 to September 2005, as a USMC Wheel Mechanic.
Gordon deployed to Al Taquidum, Iraq, as a security force personnel, in the support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from September 2005 to February 2006 and returned to Camp LeJeune as a wheel mechanic from February 2006 to October 2007.
He was honorable discharged. His highest rank achieved during enlistment was Corporal.
Gordon is the son of Timothy J. Gordon and Lisa Reynolds.
