Herman L. Springer is a graduate of Roland High School and the University of Arkansas. He was always an honor student. His favorite teacher was Mrs. Freda Latimore Roberts. Herman entered the United States Air Force in 1977 and was assigned at a logistics office. He had various assignments stateside and spent five years in Germany. During Operation Desert Storm I, he served with the United States Central Command in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 1999 he was assigned to Little Rock Air Force Base and retired in 2005. After serving 28 years he entered the Federal Civil Service with the Air Force as the Logistics Manager, 19th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Little Rock Air Force Bace. Herman is the husband of Barbara Springer and the father of one son, Wesley Charles Springer.
