After enlisting in the U.S.
Air Force, Sgt. Jim Agent was assigned to the Strategic Air Command where he remained until he was reassigned to the Pacific Air Forces in Asia at the munitions maintenance department. In September 1968 he returned to the United States and received an honorable discharge at Travis Air Force base in California. He returned to Sallisaw and he continues to serve his country at Post 27, American Legion, where he has been a member for 27 years.
Sgt. Jim Agent of Sallisaw enlisted in the US Air Force in October 1964 and served in the strategic air command early in his military career. He later served in the Pacific Air Forces in Asia at a munitions maintenance depot. After his tour of duty, Sgt. Agent returned to Travis Air Force Base in California where he received an honorable discharge in September of 1968.
