Vian’s Downtown in December seeking coats and toys

Vian’s 5th annual Downtown in December, scheduled for Dec. 8, is currently looking for coats and toys to give away during the event.

The PTO Coat Drive is looking for gently used or new coats which will be given away that night from 6-8 p.m. Organizers said around 250 coats are given away each year, from infant to adult sizes.

Santa’s Workshop Toy Drive is also looking for gently used and new toys to stock Santa’s toy box with. Toys are being collected by Vian United Methodist Church and will be handed out the night of the event. Toys can be dropped off at the church or to Pastor Anthony England.
