During the week of Nov. 7 to Nov. 14, Sequoyah County Law Enforcement tended to 19 animal calls, 141 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:
11/07/22 1:10 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- RP advised a male gave her a truck and then got rude about it and decided he wanted her to pay him for the truck. She began paying him for truck and got the title and tag in her name and now he is wanting the vehicle back. -Daniel Whitus advised it was civil.
6:06 p.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of S. 4505 Rd. RP needs to file a report regarding a stolen trailer, believes it went missing back in April. Third party info. -Brian Stone took this report.
8:02 p.m.- Child- In the vicinity of W. Dutch- RP has guardianship of child, child has permission to be at mom’s in Sallisaw. Mom and grandma have had words over the phone and now child doesn’t want to come home. RP wants a deputy to contact him, he would like a deputy bring child to grandma. -Cody Parkerson advised it was civil.
8:53 p.m.- Child- In the vicinity of E. 1000 Rd. RP is requesting to speak to a deputy regarding child custody. Stated she had dropped her son off at the residence and another party there had made threats. Would like to know if anything can be done. She is sitting at the entrance to Brushy Lake. At 8:58 p.m.- The other party called requesting a deputy, stated they do not want the RP on their property. -Cody Parkerson advised it was civil.
11/08/22
1:30 a.m.- 911- All the RP would advise was she witnessed a shooting on Maple Rd. RP called from an unknown number and dispatch is unable to call them back. -Jeff Neighbors responded.
3:09 a.m.- Complaint- In the vicinity of S. 4541 Rd. RP advised her neighbor is outside her residence burning things and throwing dirt around, and she is afraid she is going to catch her place on fire. RP could not advise if there was property burning or if the neighbor was burning random items. -Charles Webber responded.
7:52 a.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of E. 1100 Rd. RP advised she is wanting to make a report of a suspicious male who came up to her vehicle before she was able to get out of her car, and was trying to get her son to roll down the window to take money from him. RP advised when he knew they were going to use the phone, the male left the money in the window and ran off. -Galen Irvin took this report.
10:18 a.m.- Other- In the vicinity of S. 4710 Rd. RP advised they are getting ready to build on this property and landowners next to them have out deer feeders and believe they are shooting the deer on the RP’s property. Wants to know if that is illegal and what they can do. – Galen Irvin spoke to RP via phone.
1:01 p.m.- Harassment- In the vicinity of S. 4469 Rd. RP advised her sister keeps harassing her saying that they have a phone that belongs to her, and she keeps telling them she is coming to bring the cops to come get the phone. -Daniel Whitus spoke to RP via phone.
2:45 p.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of the El Siesta Motel, RP advised a male subject has beaten up a female subject in the front office. Parties are separated at this time. RP could not give any other info. -Vian PD responded.
6:45 p.m.- Fraud- In the vicinity of S. 4539 Rd. RP advised her Facebook got hacked and all of her pictures are being sent to friends and family. She is wanting to know what she needs to do. RP advised she is receiving messages stating they want money/will blackmail. -Charles Webber responded.
7:40 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of S. 4505 Rd. RP advised she has a stock trailer she reported missing on 11/7/22. RP advised she loaned it to a friend and forgot about it. She was wanting to let the deputy know she needs to cancel her report. -Information given to Brian Stone.
11/09/22
11:22 a.m.- Information- In the vicinity of E. 1096 Rd. RP advised he is supposed to be watching his neighbor’s house and there is a bunch of people over there cleaning up. He stated she is in the middle of filing for bankruptcy. -Roger Johnson responded.
3:11 p.m.- Other- In the vicinity of E. 969 Rd. One of their repo drivers was picking up a vehicle and the owner got in the vehicle and tried to drive it backwards off the trailer. Now it’s stuck and he is refusing to get out of the vehicle. They are requesting law enforcement to come deescalate the situation. -Roger Johnson and Josh Smith responded.
5:22 p.m.- Threats- In the vicinity of N. Bushyhead St. RP advised her son is drunk and threatening to burn the house down. He has no weapons. -Vian PD, Shane Petree and Brian Stone responded.
5:46 p.m.- Suspicious Person RP advised of a female walking on the side of the road trying to wave cars down. Female wearing a green tank top and jean shorts. -5:49 p.m. gave OHP info.
6:22 p.m.- Domestic- Male and female in a white Ford car parked on the west side of the road on Hwy 82 just north of Moonshine. RP advised the female driver is intoxicated and has thrown all of his belonging out on the road. She has told him to leave the car and he is refusing. -Mark Choate responded.
9:07 p.m.- Assault- In the vicinity of S. 4720 Rd. MPD advised they had a subject come in wanting to fill out a report regarding an assault that had taken place in the county. RP stated he let a subject stay with him and they had gotten into a dispute. RP does not want subject at residence anymore. -Cody Parkerson spoke to RP via phone.
11/10/22
7:21 a.m.- Phone Call- In the vicinity of E. 1080 Rd. RP would like to speak with a deputy to see what she can do about a guy that has been working on her truck for eight months. He will not bring the vehicle back or let them know where it is, so they can come get it. -Roger Johnson responded.
11:27 a.m.- Child- In the vicinity of E. 1040 Rd. RP advised the mother of his children has supervised visits with the children and she has had the children since Tuesday night and is being unsupervised with them. His DHS worker told him to go get the kids and if they refuse to give them back to call a deputy. -Roger Johnson advised it was civil.
2:43 p.m.- Complaint- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP wants to speak with a deputy about what can be done with the stench coming from neighbor’s yard from what she believes is deceased animal carcasses. -Roger Johnson responded.
5:18 p.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of S. Hwy 59. Female wearing all black, carrying a pink and purple backpack walking north towards Sallisaw. Police Dept. is going to make contact. -Brian Stone responded.
6:59 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4497 Rd. RP advised a male wearing all black is attempting to get into his shed. He and his daughter are in the house with the doors locked. -Mark Choate and Allen Ramey responded.
10:22 p.m.- Suspicious Person RP advised they were closing the store and trying to leave for the night, and there is a vehicle in the parking lot, a gray Chevy Equinox. Before releasing the call the RP advised the vehicle has left the parking lot. At 10:37 p.m. RP called back and advised she is at Gans Git-n-Go and the vehicle is back out at the Dollar General. -Allen Ramey responded.
11/11/22
1:15 a.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of N. Bushyhead. RP advised he has been beaten by his mother and would like an officer to come to the residence. -Vian PD and Mark Choate responded.
6:26 a.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of Clear Spring Court. RP advised her son was taken from her yesterday by DPS and placed in the care of his father. When she called them the father seemed pilled out and the room looked to be 200 degrees. The child looked to be in the same diaper as the day before. The mother also advised the father is abusive to the child and is now unable to get ahold of them, and is requesting a welfare check on the child. -Vian PD responded.
3:29 p.m.- Disturbance- Meet RP in regards to a disturbance with her son. Possible knife, parties are separated. Meet RP at fourway stop in Marble City, white Dodge truck. -Daniel Whitus responded.
5:48 p.m.- Fraud- At the Dollar General on Indian Rd. Subject has left in a blue Dodge truck. She came in the store and gave the cashier a fake $50 bill. Charles Webber responded.
11:21 p.m.- Harassment- In the vicinity of Meadow Dr. RP advised a subject has posted her address on social media and she is worried he is going to try to come to the residence. Residence has already been logged down for extra patrol but RP would like to fill out a statement. -Herb Hutchinson responded.
11/12/22
12:23 a.m.- Mental Health- In the vicinity of E. 991 Rd. RP would like to speak with a deputy about his daughter with mental issues. She had locked herself in the bathroom and they are not sure what steps to get her help. -Cody Parkerson spoke to RP via phone.
2:05 a.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of Love’s. RP advised he is going through a divorce but he’s been staying in a camper at his wife’s. He had left for the day and after he returned and was in his camper sleeping, he believes his wife fired shots at his camper. He advised she was yelling at him to leave and holding a shot gun, and he believed she had his handgun in her pocket. He left the residence and is at the Love’s in Vian in a 1-ton flat bed with his camper. The incidence took at in the vicinity of E. 1011 Rd. -Charles Webber responded.
8:55 a.m.- Vandalism- In the vicinity of S. 4490 Rd. RP advised her mailbox has been knocked over and wants to make a report. She said several others in the area have been done the same way recently. -Jeremy Day responded.
3:00 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of E. 1030 Rd. RP advised she is purchasing a car from a friend and has paid over $1,000 for the vehicle. The title is still in the original owner’s name and she is telling the RP she has reported the vehicle stolen. RP would like to know what she can do. -Daniel Whitus spoke to party via phone.
3:30 p.m.- Complaint- RP wants to speak with a deputy about a person that has her vehicle. Unknown how long subject has had it. -Daniel Whitus responded.
7:21 p.m.- Fire- RP advised there was a vehicle fire and he wants to make a report for his insurance.-Joshua Huff responded.
11/13/22
6:19 a.m.- Speak with Deputy RP advised he received an alert from his game cam showing someone on his property. As he was headed to the area in his truck he experienced a mechanical issue and wanted to know if he could legally ride his fourwheeler to his property down the road to check the area. At 6:45 a.m. RP advised he has not received a call from the deputy and he is going to go check his property because he is no longer able to access his camera. He will call back if he needs a deputy to respond to the area. -Galen Irvin spoke to RP via phone.
12:20 p.m.- Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of E. 1011 Rd. RP advised she wants to speak with a deputy about her daughter-in -law trespassing on her property. RP advised no one is currently at the property, she just wants to speak with a deputy. -Jeremy Day responded.
2:31 p.m.- Suspicious Person In the vicinity of S. 4760 Rd. Two males are walking around an abandoned house. One is wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, unknown description of the other male party. -Galen Irvin responded.
8:40 p.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of E. 1058 Rd. RP advised an older model white van has driven the area several times and is parking, and then driving around slow. Last seen going toward Refuge. -Charles Webber responded.
9:13 p.m.- Other- In the vicinity of Valero. V310 received a call from a male that said the clerk shorted his money, going to speak with the clerk. No customers appear to be in the store.-Vian PD responded.
11:57 p.m.- Trespassing- In the vicinity of S. 4704 Rd. RP advised she has been having trouble with the neighbors and today one of the males was harassing her and she just found one of their bikes stashed on her property. She would like to make a report. -Jeff Neighbors responded.
