The Gore Board of Education held its second special meeting of the month on Nov. 15, where they voted to employ a school nurse, and approved revision of the school’s handbook and bids on elementary roof repair.
The board members convened into executive session and upon returning to open session, board president Cody Sloan made a motion, followed by a second motion from board vice president Lester Keathley, to employ Kendra Reasnor for the school nurse position for the remainder of the school year.
All board members then agreed to approve revision of the Gore Public School handbook for grades sixth through 12th, along with elementary roof repair bids. They also approved to direct superintendent Lucky McCrary to seek an architect for new construction.
The high school boys basketball team was given the green light to stay in Tulsa overnight during Christmas break, along with the approval of apparel for staff for holiday appreciation. The board also approved a Wrestling Boosters activity account.
