SALLISAW HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL
Sallisaw basketball player Addyson Gream signed her letter of intent Nov. 10 to continue her education at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
Gream will play basketball as a forward at Wesleyan on a full scholarship while she pursues a degree in human performance.
“She’s put in a lot of work to get this,” her mother Mindy Long said. “The kid plays seven days a week. She really puts the extra work in it.”
Gream is interested in becoming a basketball coach one day. She has the drive and level of interest that could make that goal a reality.
“Make sure that you study, and put in the work,” Gream said about what it takes to get to this level. “Make sure that you get in the gym if you want this opportunity.”
“The sky’s the limit,” Wesleyan basketball coach Heidi Messer said of Gream. “Her work ethic is amazing. She’s really earned this.”
“We’re excited to have her this year as a Lady Diamond,” Sallisaw basketball coach Greg Scott said. “I look forward to watching her develop at the next level after she leaves here.”
