Police Logs 11/14/2022 to 11/21/2022

During the week of Nov.

14 to Nov. 21, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 13 animal calls, 122 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

11/14/22

8:15 a.m. — Juvenile male, black sweater, black pants, black hat, black shoes, mother let him out at Muldrow HS and he took off running away from school toward the smoke shop. Josh Smith and Roger Johnson responded.

10:33 a.m. — RP advised that her son and his daughter are living in her rent house, and he is not paying the rent, and she would like to know what she can do to evict him. Roger Johnson responded.

11:47 a.m. — Stolen property. In the vicinity of Redland Road by the river, RP went duck hunting and somebody cut the catalytic converter off his truck. He is waiting to hear back from Stephens Productions if they caught anything on camera. Roger Johnson responded.

11:47 a.m. — Harassment.

In the vicinity of E. 978 Road, RP advised that a subject has been abusing her, and today she went to leave and her tire has been flattened. Shane Petree responded.

4:18 p.m. — Stolen property. In the vicinity of Wilson Rock, RP advised that while he was out boating, someone cut the catalytic converter off of his vehicle. Roger Johnson took this report.

11/15/22

1:20 a.m. — Suspicious vehicle. In the vicinity of Akins Church, RP advised there is a four-door car backed up to the back door of the church. Austin Blackfox responded.

1:58 a.m. — 10-21 phone call. In the vicinity of S. 4768 Road, RP lives in California and came to visit his daughter in Muldrow. He and his ex-wife have court ordered visitation, and the ex-wife would not let him see his 15-year-old daughter. He is wanting a welfare check done just for documentation. Allen Ramey responded.

2:20 a.m. — Suspicious person. In the vicinity of S. 4536 Road, RP advised that a subject contacted her through whats app because his phone isn’t working to make calls, and asked her to call to have deputy come check his property because he hears someone outside and believes he saw them by his vehicle. Mark Choate responded.

3:15 a.m. — Breaking and entering. In the vicinity of Old 64, RP advised that there are two people trying to break into some vehicles on their property. Her husband fell to the ground while the suspects ran to their vehicle. RP advised her husband had been shot, but he came into the house and was fine. The husband advised they had automatic firearms and he refused to stay inside the residence. RP advised she doesn’t know if the suspect shot the shots or if her husband did trying to scare them. RP advised they headed west on Old 64 in a dark grey/blue SUV unknown make or model. Allen Ramey responded.

10:08 a.m. — Domestic.

Vian 308 got a call from a subject who advised that she and her grandson got into a fight, and he threw her onto the ground. Vian 308 could hear him yelling at her in the background. Brian Stone responded.

11:49 a.m. — Trespassing.

In the vicinity of Freddys, RP advised they are having issues with a homeless male that is on the property, They have told him to not be on the property, but he is back and cussing them and fixing to throw rocks at the owner’s vehicle. Roger Johnson responded.

1:20 p.m. — Stolen property. In the vicinity of S. 4565 Road, 824 is requesting a deputy to go to the above address. He was informed that a FedEx driver dropped a package off and sent a picture of the package on the porch to the owners of the package to inform them it had been delivered. The owners of the package realized it was not their porch, and sent someone to check the neighbor’s porch and the porch was the same porch from the picture, but the package was no longer there. The male at the home advised that there was no package delivered. 824 is requesting a deputy to go to the male’s residence and ask the male if he received the package. Shane Petree responded.

2:29 p.m. — Drugs. RP advised that People Inc. trash crew picked up a backpack on the interstate and there was Title 63. Brian Stone responded.

3:49 p.m. — Suspicious person. In the vicinity of S. 4806 Road, the owner of Packard Point Ranch contacted 806 and advised him of a male attempting to break into their gate to get on the ranch. Josh Smith, Shane Petree and Brian Stone responded.

10:52 p.m. — Suspicious person. In the vicinity of S. Thornton St., RP advised of a female subject walking in the middle of the road. RP could not give any other clothing description. Vian PD responded.

11/16/22

3:47 a.m. — Traffic. In the vicinity of Hwy. 17 and 1023 Road, OHP requested deputy to check on a white SUV in the ditch with flashers on. Mark Choate and Austin Blackfox responded.

8:45 a.m. — Information.

In the vicinity of E. 1098 Road, RP advised there is a lot of suspicious activity going on at his neighbor’s residence. They have taken down his barbed wire fence at the back of his property, and about 10 ft away from the property line they have set up tarp tents that have propane tanks outside of them. RP believes it may be 63 related. Daniel Whitus spoke to RP via phone.

3:16 p.m. — Petit larceny.

In the vicinity of the Moffett Store, RP advised around 2:30 p.m. today there was a tan SUV that pulled behind the store and took merchandise off the Lays truck. They have camera footage to show a deputy. RP advised he is at a different store and would like to speak to a deputy by 21. Galen Irvin responded.

5:21 p.m. — Stolen property. In the vicinity of El Siesta, RP advised someone broke into his motel and stole a silver box with 3 oz. of gold and a pound of silver in it. Vian PD took this report.

7:28 p.m. — Vandalism. In the vicinity of Braggs, RP advised her window was busted out at the mobile home park behind Dollar General when she was at her ex’s. Charles Webber responded.

8:45 p.m. — Suspicious person. In the vicinity of Simple Simon’s Pizza, RP advised there is a guy standing out front wearing a jacket and pants. RP advised he is just standing outside by the railroad tracks. Vian Pd responded.

9:51 p.m. — Welfare check.

RP advised there is a woman who is pregnant “living in the Marble City Post Office.” Male and female, not doing anything out of ordinary, just don’t have anywhere to go. Female was wearing jeans and shirt. Unknown on male subject. Cody Parkerson responded.

11/17/22

8:06 a.m. — Suspicious person. In the vicinity of S. 4530 Road, RP advised there is a 20-year-old male wearing a heavy jacket and some gloves trying to wave people down. He stated that he came from the wooded area and was running back and forth across the road. Daniel Whitus responded.

9:03 a.m. — Deputy assistance. In the vicinity of E. Lake View Road, RP advised she has evicted a male subject and today is his last day, and he is threatening to burn house down and pour concrete down the toilets, etc. She is requesting a deputy to go with her to make sure he leaves without any damage. Daniel Whitus made an arrest.

11:56 a.m. — Runaway juvenile. In the vicinity of E. 1060 Road, RP advised her grandson is on the phone with his mother and threatening to kill himself. He took off in the grandmother’s car after she told him he couldn’t, so they do not know where he is. She doesn’t think he has any weapons, but if he does, she does not know where he would have gotten them. Galen Irvin responded.

4:24 p.m. — Speak with deputy. In the vicinity of S. 4620 Road, RP advised she has been going to court with her landlords due to them trying to evict her. She will be at the residence the rest of this month, and she believes they are purposely making her washer and dryer not work. Daniel Whitus spoke to RP via phone.

8:15 p.m. — Stolen property. In the vicinity of Brushy Lake, RP advised he had some medication stolen out of his car earlier this evening. Cody Parkerson responded.

11/18/22

3:06 a.m. — Welfare check.

RP advised her friend, 27, has a dispute with her ex-boyfriend, and then she went out drinking in Fort Smith. No one has heard from her since 8:30 p.m., and the bartender said she left around 12:30. She posted something that seemed suicidal on facebook. She does have a history of suicidal tendencies. She has bright pink hair and should be driving a silver Chevy Equinox, unknown if she has any access to weapons. Cody Parkerson and Jeff Neighbors responded.

7: 06 a.m. — Disturbance. In the vicinity of S. 4758 Road, RP advised his nephew came to his house last night and punched holes in the walls and destroyed his house. He is still at the residence asleep, and would like deputies to come out and make a report. Brian Stone and Roger Johnson responded.

10:45 a.m. — In the vicinity of E. 1135 Road, RP advised that there were kids racing up and down the road terrorizing their cattle. Stated that her husband is currently speaking to the subjects. They are requesting a deputy. Brian Stone responded.

1:24 p.m. — Property dispute. In the vicinity of S. 4620 Road, RP advised that they have served one of their tenants an eviction notice, but still has until the end of the month. RP stated that the female is refusing to move her car, even though she still resides there. Roger Johnson advised it was civil.

4:08 p.m. — Welfare check.

In the vicinity of S. 4784 Road, RP advised their long-time employee has been a no call no show at work for four days, and that is not like him. He has also had a lot of health concerns recently. Roger Johnson responded.

9:32 p.m. — Medical. In the vicinity of the Vian football field, opposing teams coach has gone down. Unknown what has happened. He is breathing. Vian PD responded.

11/19/22

2:58 a.m. — Prowler. In the vicinity of Hwy. 101, RP advised he had received a call about a possible prowler at a vacant residence next door. Mark Choate responded.

6:49 a.m. — Welfare check. In the vicinity of 1135 and 4710 Road, RP advised that he received a call from his wife that is out hunting, and she has heard a male yelling for help in the area. Spoke to the RP’s wife. She thinks it is coming from the property on the NE corner. Roger Johnson responded.

10:03 a.m. — Other. In the vicinity of S. Alm, subject as a pickup order for drug court, and he called 813 and asked if he would come get him and take him to turn himself in. Cody Parkerson made an arrest.

2:26 p.m. — Trespassing. In the vicinity of E. 1065 Road, RP owns hunting land in the area, and has 4-5 juveniles who keep trespassing. Roger Johnson responded.

3:02 p.m. — Suspicious person. In the vicinity of Dollar General at Indian Road, male individual is carrying some sort of weapon and is swinging it at people and saying he is going to kill them. Shane Petree, Gore PD, Tenkiller State Park and OHP responded.

5:42 p.m. — Breaking and entering. RP advised he has camera in his shop and there is a male in a plaid jacket that has broken in and is in there right now. Shane Petree, Roger Johnson, Mark Choate, OHP and Austin Blackfox responded.

10:00 p.m. — Vandalism. In the vicinity of E. Lake View Drive, RP advised the male renter that she has evicted has come back to the property and she believes he is damaging the property, and he has also made threats to her and the neighbor. Austin Blackfox and Mark Choate advised it was civil.

11/20/22

7:42 a.m. — Other. In the vicinity of E. Lake View Drive, RP advised that she was going to her property to make certain the male that has been living there has not turned the water back on or is not destroying the property. Shane Petree responded.

12:17 p.m. — Child. In the vicinity of W. Vaughn St, RP advised her mother is parked in her driveway in a black Dodge with RP’s children in the vehicle. She will not give RP her children and leave the residence. Vian PD responded.

4:22 p.m. — Disturbance. In the vicinity of Hwy. 64 and 4810 Road, RP advised that there was a female standing beside the road holding a cardboard sign topless. Roger Johnson responded.

4:26 p.m. — Suspicious person. In the vicinity of E. 1130 Road, RP advised of a male and female sitting in the ditch east of her residence. The male has dark colored backpack and wearing a brown jacket. The female is in blue jeans and a jacket. Roger Johnson responded.

6:20 p.m. — Suspicious vehicle. In the vicinity of E. 1028 Road, RP advised there is an older white car that is driving by their property and stopping at the mailbox. RP advised that there have been some thefts in the area. Asked for extra patrol and for a deputy to either come by to look at video or she can send it to the deputy’s phone. Allen Ramey responded.

9:30 p.m. — Disturbance. In the vicinity of S. 4705 Road, RP advised that a vehicle drove past the residence very slowly, and fired shots toward the residence and has shot their dog. The vehicle was last seen headed SB toward 101. Allen Ramey responded.

11:18 p.m. — Domestic. In the vicinity of E. 1080 Road, first responders went on scene at a medical incident, and advised that the injuries were the result of an altercation between the patient and his stepson. The stepson lives in a residence behind the main residence, and he is at that location at this time. Allen Ramey and Mark Choate responded.

11/21/22 12:07 a.m. — Traffic. RP advised that there is someone on the overpass at Redland throwing things off the bridge at vehicles. OHP has been notified.
