Members get parade float ready

Vian Nursing & Rehab

Welcome once again to the Vian Nursing & Rehab News. As you read this, Thanksgiving will be upon us and we would like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving.

The Angel Tree will be located on the front porch this year, so please come by and adopt an angel and make this Christmas a little brighter. Gift suggestions are on each angel. Please affix angels to your gifts so we will know who they belong to. Gifts will need to be returned by Dec. 20.

The next project on the agenda is the Christmas parade. We will all be busy working on the nursing home float with hopes of making it our best yet. We will see. We sure hope it warms up a bit however.

We are currently working on our December activities calendar and have several fun activities and parties scheduled as well as some new entertainers coming to play for us. It looks like it’s going to be fun month full of holly and jolly.

Before I forget I must rave over the bundt cakes we made the other day. They made yellow cake with lemon drizzle and chocolate with chocolate drizzle and topped them with salted caramel sprinkles. Oh my, they were divine. Not a one left. They ate them all.

We will be making ball garland this week. We have never made our own, but I have quite a crafty crew here, so it should be a huge success. We plan on decorating the hallways with it. We will be scheduling several trips to the Muskogee garden of lights as this is a yearly trip the residents so enjoy. And we will throw in a couple of Christmas shopping days as well. What fun.

This week’s shout-out goes to Sharron and family from Delois. Thank you for all you do for me. I love all of you and I’m so lucky to have you. That’s all for now, so until next week, God bless…Annette.
