Members think about ‘What if…’
Monday we had seven weigh in. Neve had the best weight loss of 3 pounds. We had a net loss of 5.3 pounds. Way to go ladies! The Two Bit Bowl of quarters went to the treasury. Our Loser’s Lotto contest ended and Annette was the lucky lady. The chapter decided to start the contest again.

Our chapter challenge this week is to come in next week with a weight loss, even if it is only one-tenth of a pound. Thanksgiving is a difficult time to think about dieting. We can eat whatever we want, just be aware of the amount we eat. A time of remembering past Thanksgivings and fun times with family members who are no longer with us. We have so much to be thankful for.
Our program was entitled “What If…?” Stop and think about the word “if” for a second. What may seem like two harmless little letters can lead to unlimited possibility…or endless self-doubt. As we navigate our weight-loss journey, it can be easy to let “if” stand in our way. We may think: What if I can’t do it? What if everyone looks at me? What if I fail? Saying “what if” can be a way to protect or prepare ourselves from things that may go wrong. But, if we’re not careful, we can let our brains “what if” us right out of taking that first step or trying something different and new. Wouldn’t it be great if, instead, we used these two letters to tap into potential we didn’t even know we possessed? We might ask: What if I just try it? What if everyone is really nice? What if I succeed? Think about your positive “what if’s” this week and look back on them for inspiration. It’s easy to let “if” keep us safe in our comfort zone. But what if, instead, you let “if” be what connects where you are now to anywhere you want to go?
