Think on these things
The sound time makes — little imperceptible sounds as quiet as our own breathing, the ticking of the clock, the cardinal's call, the rivulets of rainwater singing through the down spout.

We must be very’ quiet to hear the sounds — and other sounds, voices from the past, songs and thoughts — many of them only memories but still so vivid.
To be quiet enough to hear the muted sounds will slow the heartbeat, lower the blood pressure, order the thoughts and make everything more livable, more useful, and eventually more enjoyable. When we choose to be quiet, to stop talking and making noise, we gain immensely. A good voice may be saying, “Come this way,” or we may even hear an angel passing by.
