11/28/2022 to 12/05/2022

During the week of Nov. 28 to Dec. 5, Sequoyah County Law Enforcement tended to 10 animal calls, 108 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

11/28/22

9:06 a.m.- Traffic- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. Silver pickup with no tag is in the roadway, nobody is around it.

Owner showed up, he is working on the truck trying to get it up and running. Has tow truck on the way. -Brian Stone responded.

12:54 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of E. 987 Rd. Two suspicious males came out of the woods wearing backpacks. When they saw a lady in the car they took off running. Requesting a deputy to patrol the area and check them out. -Shane Petree and Brian Stone responded.

1:26 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Dollar General. Male subject dressed in all black walking around the house. RP is cleaning the Airbnb and is afraid to go outside. He is walking around acting like he is fighting someone. -Brian Stone responded.

7:05 p.m.- Suspicious Person- RP advised of a female subject walking up and down the road wearing a camo hoodie, jeans and carrying a flashlight. May be the same female that 804 dealt with last week. -Mark Choate responded.

8:32 p.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of E. 1010 Rd. RP advised he needs to make a stolen property report, stated there are several items missing. -Allen Ramey took this report.

11/29/22

1:30 a.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of the Outhouse Saloon, 803 advised he received information about someone causing problems and possibly fighting. Lighthorse officer and Sallisaw PD also going to assist. -Allen Ramey, Mark Choate, and Austin Blackfox made an arrest.

8:30 a.m.- Threats- In the vicinity of E.

1010 Rd. RP stated her ex-boyfriend called and said he’d be by her residence at 9 a.m. to collect his jewelry and to slash the RP’s tires on her car.

The ex is not at the scene, the threats were made by phone. -Roger Johnson, Shane Petree and Brian Stone responded.

9:02 a.m.- Speak with Deputy- Near Muldrow Lake, RP wants to speak with a deputy about evicting her husband and step-daughter. -Shane Petree was given this information.

3:54 p.m.- Mental Health- In the vicinity of N. Bushyhead, RP was intoxicated and wanted an officer to come over and talk to his mom. -Vian PD responded.

5:06 p.m.- Fight in progress- In the vicinity of S. 4750 Rd. RP advised there were multiple people fighting in the area. Two vehicles and a fourwheeler. RP could not give very much information and did not know if the subjects were still actively fighting or not. -Shane Petree, Brian Stone, Cody Parkerson, and Colton Goff responded.

6:00 p.m.- Information- Unknown Vicinity. RP called and spoke with 911.

She stated a subject tried to purposely run her off the road by the bridge on the lake. She stated she was going to kill him if he tried that again. And she stated yes it was a threat. Then she hung up on 911. -Mark Choate responded.

11/30/33

3:28 a.m.- Suspicious Person- At Love’s in Vian. V304 received a call from Love’s stating there was a male subject that came in and tried to take some items, tried to cash a check and they refused. Could smell strong odor of alcohol on him. Left going east on I-40 in a silver SUV. Gave info to deputies and Sallisaw PD. -Vian PD responded.

8:36 a.m.- Traffic- RP advised she was driving Hwy. 17 headed south and there was a maroon truck that hit her mirror off her car at the top of the hill.

-Daniel Whitus responded.

8:49 a.m.- Stolen Property- Next to the Post Office in Marble City. Got a call from an RP who stated someone stole the speakers out of her mom’s car and she is needing to file a report. -Daniel Whitus responded.

11:43 a.m.- Argument- In the vicinity of S. 4610 Rd. RP with GRDA advised they have contractors out at this address and the property owner is refusing to let them leave through his gate, the only way to leave the property.

GRDA advised they have had dealings with him in the past and there was a gun involved, but today he seems to be okay, other than letting them leave. -Jeremy Day and Daniel Whitus responded.

4:21 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of E. 1098 Rd. RP advised his dog has been missing for a couple weeks. He believes the dog may be at one of his neighbor’s houses. He would like to know what he can do.

He would like to know If it is considered trespassing to go onto their property and ask them. -Daniel Whitus spoke to party via phone.

8:35 p.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP advised a female driving an older model blue Chevy Blazer was parked in his driveway and had her backseat full of things. He asked her to leave, and she pulled down the road into someone else’s driveway. -Charles Webber responded.

12/1/22

9:52 a.m.- Suspicious Person- RP advised there is a female checking everyone’s mailboxes and going through vehicles. Gray jacket, skinny, brown with a plaid purse, female is on foot she is going to be in the back parking lot of Mcquicks. She is in front of the marijuana shop. -Vian PD and Cody Parkerson responded.

12:20 p.m.- Phone Call- In the vicinity of S. 4503 Rd. RP advised she went to court on the 15th to have someone evicted from her house and they were supposed to be out of Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. She Is wanting a deputy to assist her in getting the people out of her house or tell her what she needs to do. -Daniel Whitus responded.

11:21 p.m.- Prowler- In the vicinity of E. 990 Rd. RP advised there are possible prowlers outside their residence. Stated they could hear noises outside the door but do not currently hear them anymore. -Charles Webber responded.

12/2/22

1:41 p.m.- Assault- In the vicinity of E.

1103 Rd, 30-year-old male advised he needs the cops cause he is mad at his parents and he put his hand on them.

He is mental, no weapons, he is sitting in front of the door. -Roger Johnson responded.

8:08 p.m.- Assist- Will be out with Muldrow PD. Male subject is kicking in a door and has a shotgun. -Allen Ramey responded.

8:37 p.m.- Suspicious Person- Male subject driving an orange Honda was driving erratically on 64, pulled into the parking lot of Cheyenne’s, then got out of his vehicle and was screaming and yelling. -Allen Ramey responded.

12/3/22

11:10 a.m.- Domestic- RP advised she is out of town and her mother called her screaming and saying her husband is hitting her. At the time of the call RP stated parties are actively fighting, unsure if weapons are in the home. -Brian Stone and Shane Petree responded.

2:22 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of S. 4617 Rd. RP advised her friend has been staying with her because she and her husband are separating. Her friend left earlier today to go see him in Fort Smith and has not heard from her in five hours and she is wanting to know what she should do. -Shane Petree responded.

3:26 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64 in front of Cheyenne’s. Black male in all white jump suit getting out in traffic. -Roger Johnson responded.

4:30 p.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of S. 4729 Rd. RP advised a female showed up at her door with a juvenile and stated she was involved in an accident and hit a tree. RP stated two more vehicles pulled up and an older male got out of one of the vehicles and started yelling at the female.

-Shane Petree, Brian Stone and OHP responded.

6:21 p.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of E. 981 Rd. RP would like to make a report about his trash can being stolen. He has been trying to get in contact with his sanitation department but they are closed for the weekend, and he would like to make a report so he does not get charged for the trash can. -Allen Ramey responded.

7:29 p.m.- Shooting Firearms- RP advised her mother called and advised her father was shot by a subject and she needed to call 911. RP did not know where he was shot at or the severity. She also did not know if the subject was still on scene. At 7:35 p.m. EMS and first responders were paged and told to stay until deputies got on scene. At 7:38 p.m. a subject called and advised her husband had not been shot and they did not need deputies or EMS. -Austin Blackfox, Mark Choate and Allen Ramey responded.

9:43 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of E. 1107 Rd. RP would like to speak with a deputy about getting his property from his mom’s residence.

Mom said he can get his property but his brother is causing problems. -Austin Blackfox spoke to party via phone.

12/4/22

2:34 a.m.- Assist- Muldrow PD is requesting assistance with a male subject that is intoxicated and highly combative. -Allen Ramey, Mark Choate, and Austin Blackfox responded to this call.

9:09 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of E. 1100 Rd. RP advised there are at least three people in his backyard messing around. He can hear and see them on his surveillance camera. They have left the property westbound into the woods. -Allen Ramey responded.

9:55 p.m.- Fight in progress- In the vicinity of E. 1030 Rd. RP advised her son, husband and another male are in a physical fight. -Allen Ramey responded.

12/5/22

4:32 a.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Pier 7. RP advised there is a Chevy car silver or gold parked at the gas pump with a male subject passed out behind the wheel. -Mark Choate made an arrest.
