IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State’s Taylen Collins was recently named the Big 12 Player of the Week.
The junior forward and Muldrow High School graduate earned the honor after her record-setting performance on Dec. 3 in OSU’s 82-64 home win over North Texas. Collins recorded her third doubledouble of the season, finishing with 12 points and matching the school’s single-game rebounding mark with 23 boards.
Her total matched the previous standard set by All-American Natasha Mack on Dec. 20, 2019 against Oral Roberts and is tied for the seventh-best total in Big 12 history.
Additionally, Collins connected on six of her seven shots from the floor and had a team-best two steals against the Mean Green.
Collins’ showing came on the heels of her performance in OSU’s 79-77 win over Florida State in Stillwater last month when she pulled a then-career best 17 rebounds.
