A Few of My Favorite Things

The new year is upon us and by the time I write another column, it will be 2023. The years rush by so fast its almost unbelievable. This year has been rough though and the holidays were no exception. I am glad to close the door on 2022. This week, I am taking it easy on myself. I am going to simply do my favorites of 2022 to close out the year. There were a few that stood out this year which I really enjoyed.

2022 Favorites

The new year is upon us and by the time I write another column, it will be 2023. The years rush by so fast its almost unbelievable. This year has been rough though and the holidays were no exception. I am glad to close the door on 2022. This week, I am taking it easy on myself. I am going to simply do my favorites of 2022 to close out the year. There were a few that stood out this year which I really enjoyed.

Take the weekend to reflect on the past year and resolve to make the new one what you want it to be. If you have last year’s column, pick a few superstitions to make your year easier. Be ready come Saturday night and kiss 2022 goodbye while welcoming 2023 with open arms. Every day is a new beginning and a chance to be better than the day before if we can just manage to see past our own perceived shortcomings. Now, I have no words of wisdom to tell you how to do that and I struggle some days too. I just know that each morning when I wake there is great potential for the day.

Maybe pick a few of YOUR favorites you haven’t made in a while or something I published you wanted to try, but haven’t. Then, this weekend, check your ingredients and make your grocery list. And join me in the kitchen for a couple good recipes from this past year I just really wanted to make again.
