Residents busy with holiday events

By Annette Crowder

Hello again from the staff and residents at Vian Nursing and Rehab. First off I would like to thank all of you that adopted angels from our tree. They have officially all been adopted.

Vian Nursing and Rehab

Hello again from the staff and residents at Vian Nursing and Rehab. First off I would like to thank all of you that adopted angels from our tree. They have officially all been adopted.

We have had a very busy week as we have had several groups here to visit and spread holiday cheer. Thanks to the Vian FCCLA students for the visit and gifts. The residents were so thankful. What a wonderful group of students. Thanks again.

We also had a visit from Vian Elementary fourth and fifth grades, 121 to be exact. They came bearing gifts and sang Christmas songs for the residents. How delightful. The residents so enjoyed it. In fact they are still talking about it. Thank you teachers, we so appreciate all you do.

We are so thankful to live in such a caring and supportive community. We are truly blessed. Last night we took several of the residents to see the Christmas lights at Honor Heights Park and to the Braums for an ice cream cone. It was beautiful and we had such a good time. We plan on another trip next week.

We will be baking and decorating cookies today, which is always fun and tasty too. We have taken pictures with Santa, sang Christmas songs, watched Christmas movies and had a hot chocolate bar, all this week, as well as bingo, the holiness choir and the Marble City Holiness church. As I said it’s been a busy week.

Well I’m off to bake cookies, so until next time, God bless…Annette.
