Bacon Cream Cheese Tortellini
2 9oz pkgs. cheese tortellini
2 9oz pkgs. cheese tortellini
6 strips bacon
1 clove garlic, minced ½ cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy whipping cream
4oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese Salt & pepper to taste Fry bacon in skillet over medium-high heat until crispy, about 10 minutes. Take pan off heat and remove bacon to paper towel lined plate. Drain most of bacon fat from the pan, keeping about 1 tablespoon. Cut bacon into small pieces. Stir in garlic, chicken broth, heavy cream and cream cheese. Return pan to the burner over medium heat, and stir smooth. Heat sauce about 5 minutes or until it’s reduced to your liking. Stir in parmesan cheese and bacon. Remove from heat. Boil large pot of water. Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain tortellini and add prepared sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a few spoonfuls of the pasta water. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
