Jackson’s transition to defense was not an easy one, but he approached it with the same determination and strong work ethic he applies whenever success is in the balance. He quickly adapted to his new role and became a key player on the defense. In addition to his athletic abilities, Jackson’s leadership and sportsmanship also shone through on the field.
Unfortunately, Jackson was unable to play on Senior Night due to an injury. It is a bitter pill to swallow for a player who has worked through multiple injuries during his time at Sallisaw. Some of his injuries were so debilitating that they required selfless dedication and effort to rehabilitate so he could heal quickly for the team.
Jackson’s contributions should not go unrecognized. He is a valuable member of the Sallisaw football program, and has the potential to excel at the collegiate level should he decide to pursue that path.
