Police logs 01/03/2023 to 01/08/2023

During the week of Jan. 3-9, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to eight animal calls and 89 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls, according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

1/3/23

7:26 a.m. — Suspicious Vehicle.

In the vicinity of Old Highway 64, there is a car, possible an Acura, parked next to the pond.There is no one in or around the vehicle, and the windows are cracked. Galen Irvin responded.

8:01 a.m. — Welfare Check. In the vicinity of Cheyenne’s, RP advised that there is someone sitting on the side of the road in a brown jacket. Galen Irvin responded.

11:50 a.m. — Vandalism. In the vicinity of the bottoms by the dam, RP advised that he left his vehicle in the bottoms last night when it got stuck, and today he went to get it towed out and it has been vandalized. RP is going to have it towed to Freddy’s lot, and then call when it is there for 806 to report. Galen Irvin responded.

12:38 p.m. — Harassment. In the vicinity of the Bulldog Apartments, RP advised that she and her kids are being harassed, and she has talked to Muldrow PD and feels like because she is getting male officers, nothing is being done about it. Dispatch advised Muldrow PD of the call, and was advised she would give her name and number and problem to the chief. Cindy Smith responded.

3:40 p.m. — Stolen Property. In the vicinity of Paw Paw Road, RP advised that Roland PD notified him of his mail being on a person they arrested, and advised him to make a report with county of his mail being stolen. Galen Irvin took this report.

5:59 p.m. — Suicide Attempt. In the vicinity of South 4634 Road, RP advised that her husband is in the bedroom with a shotgun threatening to kill himself. Male subject is bipolar and has PTSD. RP stated that she and her son are outside the residence, and her daughter is still currently inside the residence. While on the phone with RP, she stated that the male had taken off walking south wearing blue jeans and a blue flannel jacket. She stated that she could not see the gun anymore, but unknown if he has any weapons on him. Randy Taylor, Jeff Neighbors, and Charles Webber responded.

7:58 p.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of S 4525 Rd, Rp advised that his brother just got out of prison for shooting him.The subject slapped the father. Rp advised there are guns in the residence. -Randy Taylor, Vian Pd, and Charles Webber responded.

11:30 p.m.- Domestic- RP advised that him and his brother were fighting and the subject had pointed a gun at him. RP stated that he had picked his brother up from the residence due to him causing issues prior this evening. While on the phone with RP he stated that the subject had taken off walking north on 4500 Rd with no shirt and unknown pants, believes that he does not have any weapons on him. -Randy Taylor and Charles Webber made an arrest.

1/4/23

3:05 a.m. — In the vicinity of East 993 Road, RP advised he left his keys in his vehicle, and about 30 minutes ago someone stole it. He advised he is unsure who could’ve taken it, but they headed towards Muldrow. It is a black Nissan truck. Jeff Neighbors responded.

9:44 a.m. — Mental Health. In the vicinity of East 1056 Road, RP advised that a 22-year-old female is not taking her medication. She is screaming and hitting the walls.

They want a deputy to come and talk to her. There are no weapons. Roger Johnson and Brian Stone responded.

1:17 p.m. — Stolen Vehicle. In the vicinity of East 1100 Road, RP advised that he let his friend use his truck yesterday, and she has yet to return the vehicle. He stated that she is avoiding his calls and texts, and won’t bring the vehicle back. Roger Johnson responded.

9:17 p.m. — Disturbance. In the vicinity of South 4448 Road, RP advised that his 27-year-old son with mental issues is having an episode and wanting to fight the RP. He has left the residence and is walking northbound on Highway 100 in a black hoodie, blue jeans and boots. Mark Choate responded.

1/5/23

8:30 a.m. — Speak with Deputy.

In the vicinity of East 953 Road, RP advised that there are guys trying to repo her vehicle, and they are trying to get into her locked garage to get the vehicle. She is wanting to speak with a deputy about if it is legal or not. Brian Stone responded.

6:20 p.m. — Assault/Weapon. In the vicinity of South 4629 Road, RP advised that a male subject in a tan-colored car, possibly a Chevy Malibu or Impala, followed her to her residence and pulled a gun on her and her family. She has no clue who it is. He was in an orange hoodie and a hat. He also wears glasses. She first stated he went back to 17, but he actually went the back way to 59 on 1020. Austin Blackfox responded.

1/6/23

12:45 a.m. — Prowler. In the vicinity of South 4770 Road, RP advised that her husband woke her up and advised that there was someone outside the residence, possibly in the garage. Austin Blackfox responded.

7:43 a.m. — Child. In the vicinity of Lennington Street, RP advised that her 10-year-old son has left the residence in a purple shirt and blue jeans. He refused to get in his mother’s vehicle to go to school. Galen Irvin responded.

12:17 p.m. — Assault. RP advised her ex-husband came to her residence and tried to assault her, but now he’s gone in a 2000 dark green Chevy Silverado, possibly headed toward Stilwell. She wants him charged with trespassing. Jeremy Day responded.

7:40 p.m. — Welfare Check. In the vicinity of South 4665 Road, RP advised she has received thirdparty information that her two sons are scared of their father. Juveniles are going to be 14 and 15 years old. Mother advised she has been unable to contact her sons or their step-mom. Cody Parkerson responded.

9:14 p.m. — Threats. In the vicinity of South 4792 Road, RP advised his uncle is threatening him and he is scared for his life.While on the phone with dispatch, RP was very irate, and stated if his uncle shows up on his property, he will shoot him with no warning. RP sounded intoxicated, and stated he did not know his age. Jeff Neighbors responded.

1/7/23

9:20 a.m. — In the vicinity of East 966 Road, RP advised that a subject is there to get her property per a court order, and she is destroying property in the house and going through others property. Could hear her screaming and yelling in the background. Residence is a trailer. Jeremy Day and Galen Irvin responded.

1:45 p.m. — Stolen Property. At Sallisaw PD, female in the lobby filling out a statement needs to speak to a deputy regarding property that was stolen out of Brent. Cody Parkerson responded.

7:35 p.m. — Suspicious Vehicle.

In the vicinity of South 4750 Road, RP advised there is a small twodoor white car that pulls in and out of her driveway and drives up and down the road very slowly.

10:45 p.m. — Domestic. In the vicinity of South 4536 Road, RP advised that she is 15 and she is with her 20-year-old sister at a residence outside of Vian, and a male has assaulted her and others in the residence. She is hiding outside under a vehicle at this time. Charles Webber, Brian Rutherford, Cody Parkerson and Jeff neighbors responded.

1/8/23

9:00 a.m. — Assist. In the vicinity of East 994 Road, RP advised that she was arguing with her mother, and her mother’s boyfriend beat up the RP. Jeremy Day responded.

10:10 a.m. — Speak with Deputy. In the vicinity of South 4530 Road, RP advised he found a bag of needles and other things in his field. He was afraid one of his animals would step on it, so he put the bag in the back of his truck. He would like to speak to a deputy about it. Jeremy Day responded.

1:15 p.m. — Trespassing. In the vicinity of East 1100 Road, RP advised that a subject is going to come to her house and she does not want him there. He is threatening to assault her father. He will be on foot. Galen Irvin responded.

6:20 p.m. — Shooting Firearms/ Unsafe. In the vicinity of McGuire Loop, RP advised there are a lot of people at the residence just south, and a lot of kids running around as well and there are people shooting firearms unsafely in the area. Josh Smith responded.

7:30 p.m. — Domestic. In the vicinity of South 4731 Road, RP advised that residents at this location sound like they are having a domestic dispute. Advised there has been domestic disputes at this location before. Jeff Neighbors responded.
