Patriot’s Pen, Voice of Democracy winners announced

First place went to sixth grader, Kinlee Burger; second place went to eighth grader, Ethan Martinez; and third place went to sixth grader, Adrianna Allen, all of Liberty.
The winner in Voice of Democracy, which is a speech contest for ninth-12th grades, with the theme of ‘Why Our Veterans are Important ‘ went to Parker Mahar, a sophomore at Gans High School.
“The VFW would like to thank all the schools that participated and the students who submitted entries. Without them, we would have no scholarship contests,” Jackie Plank, Sr. Vice President Muldrow VFW Auxiliary 8384, said.
