“Get Ready, Get Set, SEW” describes the Kozie Quilters for 2023. The Kozie Quilters of Sequoyah County met on Jan. 4 to begin work on quilts that will be distributed in the New Year. They are excited to meet every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Trinity United Methodist Church, east of Muldrow on Highway 64, to make quilts and give them away to individuals who need them.

During 2022, the Kozie Quilters donated 397 quilts to county elementary schools, county agencies, and burn-out victims. They plan to exceed that number for 2023.

The Kozie Quilters accept donations of fabric and quilting supplies. The group greatly appreciates any donations they receive. If you have fabric and/or quilting supplies that you no longer need, please consider donating them to the Kozie Quilters.

The group welcome new members. The members enjoy sewing, quilting, learning, sharing patterns, and sometimes potluck! Anyone who desires to be involved in making quilts and wishes to join the Kozie Quilters, please contact Linda Wight at 918-427-5926.
