Loss to 5A East Central ends Muldrow’s tourney
A 50-40 loss to Class 5A Tulsa East Central (4-11 overall) Friday night inside Truman Dixon Fieldhouse eliminated the 4A Bulldogs (9-6) from the Checotah Crossroads Classic.

CHECOTAH BOYS 53, MULDROW 47 (THURSDAY) Muldrow’s Trenden Collins registered a game-high 26 points Thursday in the first-round game of the tournament but the Wildcats scored the final four points of the game to record the win.
In the first eight minutes the Bulldogs’ Parker Sevenstar scored four points but Checotah went in front 10-7.
Colton Pulliam (5 points) hit a 3-pointer and Collins added four points in the second stanza as Muldrow erased (12-8) the deficit to lead 1918 at the half.
Collins scored nine of the Bulldogs’ 14 points in the third quarter, which featured nine lead changes, but Tyler Corn’s three 3-pointers and Tyler Orman’s seven points helped the Wildcats outscore the Bulldogs 16-14 and take a 34-33 lead to the fourth. The Wildcats widened (19-14) their advantage in the fourth quarter. Checotah’s Maddox Bridges started the scoring with a 3-pointer from the top of the key and after Collins’ layup and a 3-pointer by the Wildcats’ Dylan Robinson with 6:22 to go Checotah led 40-35. Muldrow closed to within two points of tying the score three times the rest of the way and with 24 seconds remaining Collins was charged with his fifth foul. Collins (13 points) and the Wildcats’ Elijah Thomas (10) led their respective teams in scoring in the fourth.
Trailing Collins in scoring for Muldrow in the game were Sevenstar (8 points), Andrew Luttrell and Pulliam (5 each), Jaxon Anstine (2) and Trenton Irvan (1).
Scoring for Checotah were Corn (18 points), Orman (13), Thomas (10), Bridges (9) and Robinson (3).
