Residents cooking up a storm

By Annette Crowder

Hello once again and Happy New Year. As I mentioned before we have started crockpot creations and our first recipe was crockpot bread pudding. It was not only easy, but it was delicious. Not a drop of it was left. The only thing missing was the ice cream. Oh well, next time. Today we will be trying our hands at homemade bread and breadsticks. I’ll let you know how they turn out.

We are excited to have Gerry Baze coming tomorrow to play for us. It’s always a good time when Gerry is in the house. Oak Grove Baptist Church will also be here tomorrow to spread the word.

We started our exercise this week with a tone up Tuesday and a walk. It was good to get up and moving especially after the holidays. We have a lot of fun art and crafts scheduled this month, as well as an in house domino tournament. The winners get a pizza dinner. It should be great fun and we have a very competitive group here, so we’re hoping for a good turnout.

We have also started playing bingo for bingo bucks. We have a company store where the residents can spend their bingo bucks on anything from soaps to sodas, snacks, jewelry, puzzle books and the list goes on and on.

We are currently looking for churches that might like to come on a Sunday for services, Bible study or any other day. If you’re interested please call Annette at 918-7735258.

Well that’s all for now, so until next time, God bless…Annette.
