Sequoyah County Police Logs

Police Logs 01/17/2023 to 01/23/2023 During the week of Jan. 17 to Jan. 23, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to nine animal calls, 77 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

1/17/23

11:51 a.m.- Stolen Property In the vicinity of S. 4760 Rd, RP advised that an impact gun was taken out of his vehicle. -Galen Irvin responded.

2:36 p.m.- Property Dispute In the vicinity of S. 4715 Rd, RP advised her neighbor has started clearing her back side of her property and putting hay back there, and she is wanting to know what can be done. -Galen Irvin responded.

4:32 p.m.- Drugs- RP needs to speak with Cindy Smith regarding his niece buying weed. -Cindy Smith responded.

4:51 p.m.- Information- In the vicinity of S. 4690 Rd, Speak with deputy regarding a Facebook marketplace scam. -Randy Taylor responded.

11:17 p.m.- Assist- In the vicinity of Mulberry and Lucy St., SPD is requesting assistant in locating male subject involved in a domestic. Stated it is the same male from last night they had dealt with. Male subject has been hit with a bat and possibly injured. -Jeff Neighbors and Randy Taylor responded.

1/18/23

3:44 a.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of E. 1058 Rd., RP advised there is a male and female in her car making her drive off the road. She advised they are threatening her and she is scared for her life. RP also advised she cannot see the people, she can only hear their voices. She believes they are possibly under her car and they will not come out. -Vian PD and Matt Jones responded.

7:34 a.m.- Breaking and Entering- In the vicinity of S. 4602 Rd., RP advised his son is trying to come in his front door, he is unsure if he has any weapons. RP will be in the residence near the chicken houses. -Gene Wheat, Kenny Graham and Roger Johnson responded.

9:52 a.m.- Speak with Deputy- In Gore, RP has some questions for a deputy in reference to her father who has dementia, lives alone and has a lot of loaded firearms, etc. She wants to know what she can do. -Colton Goff spoke to RP via phone.

1:13 p.m.- Information- In the vicinity of S. 4605 Rd, RP advised he thinks he found human remains on the property next to his. He sent a photo to the dispatch cell phone, it was forwarded on. -Daniel Whitus responded.

4:06 p.m.- Assault- In the vicinity of Blackgum Baptist Church, off duty parks units were flagged down by a female in a red Camero stating that she had been assaulted at the Overlook. -Colton Goff and Tenkiller State Park responded.

1/19/23

7:12 a.m.- 10-6 Busy- In the vicinity of Dr. Coffee’s office, RP advised it looks like someone tried to break into his building overnight. 308 out taking pictures and taking report. -Vian PD responded.

11:17 a.m.- Suspicious Person- 801 advised 829 of a Facebook post he was made aware of. Male threatening to shoot people in the Vian area. Vian School is on lockdown because a male subject was seen on a Facebook post wearing a mask holding an AR-15 stating that he is going to the Big V. in a grey or silver Dodge Charger. At 12:23 advised by 806 subject has been located in Fort Smith. -Galen Irvin, Colton Goff and Blakely Smith responded.

1:42 p.m.- Trash Dumping- In the vicinity of 1086 Rd., RP advised that her neighbor has trash piled up in his yard and it is blowing everywhere. -Roger Johnson responded.

5:04 p.m.- Trespassing- In the vicinity of S. 4530 Rd., RP advised was just on her property and she wants him trespassed. He has currently left and back on his property which is next to hers. -Colton Goff responded.

6:49 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of 64B past ballfields. Man walking close to the road stumbling around wearing dark clothing. -Allen Ramey responded.

1/20/23

7:33 a.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Pier 7, RP advised of a male subject wearing all black walking along the side of the road. He is talking to himself, doing karate moves. -Daniel Whitus responded.

9:20 a.m.- Information- In the vicinity of E. 1100 Rd. RP stated a mail carrier delivered a package on the 10th or 11th and when she got out of her vehicle, five males got out of a van with a flat tire, asking what she was doing there. RP thinks there might be illegal stuff going on, wants to make sure his employees are safe. -Galen Irvin responded.

9:57 a.m.- 10-21 phone call-In the vicinity of E. 1042 Rd., RP advised that her daughter is addicted to drugs and they are wanting her sent to rehab. She isn’t willing to go so they are asking for a third party. The RP doesn’t know where her daughter is right now. -Galen Irvin responded.

1:26 p.m.- Burglary- In the vicinity of E. 984 Rd., someone has broken into the house. They can hear the people. Think they went out the back to the pasture. -Jeremy Day and Daniel Whitus responded.

5:06 p.m.- 10-21 Phone Call-RP advised her daughter was arrested for trafficking drugs in our county and she would like to speak to a deputy regarding her safety. -Jeremy Day responded.

5:21 p.m.- In the vicinity of 4523 Rd., male standing in the middle of the road wearing black shirt and jeans mumbling to himself, has a beard. -Jeremy Day responded.

10:02 p.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- Employee of Dollar General contacted Gore PP about a vehicle in the parking lot for awhile with two males inside. -Gore PD responded.

10:49 p.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of S. 4541 Rd., RP advised his wife had taken the dog out and while standing on their porch, the neighbor shined a flashlight at her, told her to get back inside and mind her business. RP stated he went to the neighbor’s to see what was going on and the neighbor pushed him off the porch to the shed and then took a swing at him. As the RP was leaving, the neighbor fired a shot. -Charles webber responded.

1/21/23

11:54 a.m.- Fraud- In the vicinity of S. 4705 Rd., RP advised he was scammed by someone pretending to work for his streaming service. They have taken over $1,400 from his account and he would like to speak to a deputy to see what he needs to do. -Daniel Whitus responded.

1:35 p.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of Ensminger St., RP lives at the residence with her daughter and has brain cancer. Her daughter called and advised her mother is trying to stab her with knives, pens and a nail file. -Gore PD responded.

2:37 p.m.- Complaint- In Sallisaw, RP advised on Wednesday he was on the Kats bus and the driver made a comment about harming people that made him uncomfortable. He contacted Sallisaw PD and they advised him there is nothing they can do, so he would like to speak to a deputy. -Daniel Whitus responded.

4:36 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of S. 4660 Rd., RP advised he lives on an illegal cock fight farm, is receiving threats and fears for his life. -Daniel Whitus responded.

6:44 p.m.- Fire- In the vicinity of S. 4609 Rd., RP advised there is someone burning something that is popping and smells very bad. -Charles Webber responded.

10:47 p.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of E. 952 Rd., RP advised his neighbor has been evicted and is causing problems in the area, scaring the landlord that lives down the road. RP also advised he has a firearm and has fired it a couple times earlier today.

1/22/23

3:39 p.m.- Threats- in the vicinity of S. 4704 Rd., neighbor threatened them, he tried to flag them down when he went by, said they threw out trash. He followed them and had a gun. They don’t want to press charges, said he’s old but somebody needs to talk to him and tell him he can’t be doing that. -Galen Irvin responded.

11:12 p.m.- Stolen Vehicle- In the vicinity of Wildhorse Mountain. RP advised her son called her and said that the vehicle was stolen from where he was at a friend’s house in the Wildhorse area. -Charles Webber and Jeff Neighbors responded.

1/23/23

7:11 a.m.- Medical- In the vicinity of E. 1000 Rd., RP advised he smoked a cig and someone told him it was payota, and he is talking out of his head. Subject thinks he is Doc Holiday and Native Americans are taking over the world. He is talking about his dead wife, that she is alive and he is saying that he has been shot. -Shane Petree responded.
