Muldrow High School Athletic Hall of Fame to induct three new members Friday
Muldrow High School will welcome three new members into its Athletic Hall of Fame at 6 p.m. Friday prior to the Bulldogs’ home games against Sallisaw.

Muldrow High School will welcome three new members into its Athletic Hall of Fame at 6 p.m. Friday prior to the Bulldogs’ home games against Sallisaw.
The 2023 inductees are Tammy Byrd, Ginny (Byrd) Pittman and Marty Rogers.
Tammy Byrd, a 1982 graduate of MHS, was a standout basketball player for the Lady Bulldogs for four years. Byrd was named to the 1982 Oklahoma All-State team as a forward and was a member of two state championship teams, 1980 and 1982. She was also named to the Texas-Oklahoma All-Star team as well as the Kiamichi All-Star team. Byrd continued her basketball career at Eastern Oklahoma State College, Florida Atlantic University and Northeastern State University.
A 1974 graduate of MHS, Ginny (Byrd) Pittman was a fouryear letterman for the Lady Bulldogs. She was an outstanding scorer, averaging 29.9 points per game which led the NOAA conference. Pittman was recognized in the Faces in the Crowd section of Sports Illustrated on April, 29, 1974, for averaging 39 points the last six games of her senior year. Pittman capped off a successful high school career by being named to the Oklahoma All-State team.
Marty Rogers is a 1978 graduate of Muldrow High School. Rogers, a four-sport athlete at MHS, participated in football, basketball, baseball and track and was named allconference in both football and basketball. Rogers dedicated 20-plus years in education to the students of Muldrow. He coached football and basketball as well as teaching Physical Education in the younger grades. Rogers made a huge impact on all his students and players.
