The Class A district tournaments will be held Feb. 10-11.

The Lady Pirates (5-9 overall as of Feb. 1) won 56-45 at Porter (7-12) on Jan. 17 and lost 65-42 at home to Porum (13-5) on Dec. 17.

The Pirates (12-3) defeated Porter (6-12) 60-49 and Porum (4-14) 60-27 earlier this season. Gore is also the regional subsite for districts 5 (Depew, Liberty and Regent Prep) and 8, the regional main site is Indianola and Wilburton is the area site for Area III.

Gans was placed in District 6 and will travel to Red Oak for its district tournament, which also includes Indianola.

The Lady Grizzlies (5-12) did not play No. 8 Red Oak (18-2) or Indianola (5-14) this season.

The Grizzlies (5-9) will most likely face Indianola (1-18) in its tournament opener and the winner will take on Red Oak (13 7).

Gans’ regional main site is Indianola and Wilburton is the area site for Area III.
