Lady Grizzlies get win on the road
COUNCIL HILL — The Class A Gans Lady Grizzlies, fueled by a combined 30 points from Brianna Burris and Melania Paniagua, upended Class B Midway, 4232, on Monday.

COUNCIL HILL — The Class A Gans Lady Grizzlies, fueled by a combined 30 points from Brianna Burris and Melania Paniagua, upended Class B Midway, 4232, on Monday.
In the first quarter, Gans (6-13) was able to match Midway (10-3) as the teams played to a 6-6 stalemate. In the s e c o n d stanza, the Lady Grizzlies outscored the Lady Chargers, 1 6 -10, to forge a 22-16 edge for Gans by intermission.
The teams again played to a standoff in the third period for a 33-27 gap headed into the fourth frame.
In the final quarter, Gans widened its lead to give the Lady Grizzlies a solid 10-point win on the road.
