Letter to the Editor

Godly Government; Godly Families; Godly Churches.

Godly Government; Godly Families; Godly Churches.

Why would anybody want an ungodly Government? Because someone indoctrinated their mind about Christians and Politics don’t mix; separation of church and state; bible thumpers will pass moral laws and destroy our freedom of choice. Simple and lazyminded folks will not put forth the effort to see what a good blessing is and what brings about destruction. There may be some fanatics that claim to be a true Christ-ian but by their fruits we can know them, Jesus said. Statistics say 70% to 90% of our 330 million population confess to be a Christian. The Federal Bureau of Prisons has 29 facilities for 152,000 female prisoners. 122 federal prisons, 1,566 state prisons, 2,850 local jails, 1,510 juvenile correctional facilities, 186 immigration detention facilities, and 82 Indian country jails, as well as in military prisons, civil commitment centers, state psychiatric hospitals, and prisons in the U.S. territories. Together, these systems hold almost 2 million people. Our ungodly Government has failed to supply the education our youth needs; there is too much crime; too many dysfunctional families; too many broken homes and orphans yet the general public at large cannot believe that true Christianity will build strong families, strong churches and a successful Government. God started the family with Adam and Eve, a male and a female; God started a Government with the Nation Israel and God started the Christian Church with Jesus Christ. These three organizations can successfully operate independently without controversy or control on the others, but it takes true Christians to get involved in their own family, in their church and in their local, state and federal Government and take a stand for righteousness; we do not have to push or force just take a firm stand and proclaim righteousness. Some say silence is golden; that is not true Christianity; it’s just plain yellow! Matthew 11-12 Jesus is teaching about John the Baptist’s ministry and also the starting of the Church; Jesus teaches that God’s work is nonviolent through love, mercy and grace while Satan’s work is through force and violence. True Christianity never forces God’s will on another, that is impossible, each of us must willing believe, trust and obey from our heart or God will not honor that person’s talk or walk. 1st Corinthians 13-4, 5 & 6 teaches that the Love of God is patient and kind; does not envy, is not pushy, not puffed up with pride, don’t behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own way, not easily provoked, thinks no evil, rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. True Christians need to be elected to all positions of our local, state and Federal Government.

PASTOR CURTIS MITCHELL – NEW HOPE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH HWY 101
