County sales tax income down from last year
The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from December business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from Dec. 16 to 31 and estimated sales from Jan 1 to 15, 2023.
The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from December business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from Dec. 16 to 31 and estimated sales from Jan 1 to 15, 2023.
Statewide, the disbursement of $203,126,030 in sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $6,350,912 from the $196,775,118 distributed to the cities and towns in February last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and town was $42,156,270 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
In county returns, the counties shared in a $35,026,883 sales tax disbursement and a $7,214,750 use tax disbursement.
