Residents select Valentine’s King and Queen

By Annette Crowder

Hello again from the staff and residents. We have had a busy, busy couple of weeks here at the home. We have welcomed February even though that darn groundhog saw his shadow.

Vian Nursing and Rehab

Hello again from the staff and residents. We have had a busy, busy couple of weeks here at the home. We have welcomed February even though that darn groundhog saw his shadow.

We put out ballot boxes several weeks ago so residents, staff, family and friends could vote for Nursing Home Valentine King and Queen for 2023. What a response we had. We counted ballots forever it seemed. With the votes all counted, this year’s winners are Mrs. Norma Shablin and Mr. Keith Adams. Congratulations to our King and Queen.

We had lots of helpers for Valentines this year and we so appreciate all of you. Vian’s FCCLA class for the cards, candy and the visit, it was the highlight of the day. We so look forward to future projects with you. Roland High School FCCLA, Amy Bethel and LaLinda Lanes classes from Vian Elementary for the cards and to Canterbury Chapel for the cookies and cards. The residents were thrilled.

We decorated cookies with Meagan and Uriah, what fun. We played bingo with Clint and crafts with Crystal. We are making donuts today and are looking forward to a visit from Margret and the girls. We are always up to something.

Thanks again to everyone who helps make life a little sweeter for our residents, they and we, so appreciate all of you. Don’t forget we are still looking for donations of Easter baskets or buckets for Operation Peter-Cottontail.

Well that’s all for now, time to bake. So until next time…God bless… Annette.
