Police Logs 02/13/2023 to 02/18/2023

During the week of Feb. 13-18, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 13 animal calls and 74 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls, according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

2/13/23

9:32 a.m. — Threats. In the vicinity of S. 4523 Road. Reporting party advised that a subject threatened to kill her over a family member’s will. Jeremy Day responded.

2:17 p.m. — 10-21 phone call.

Reporting party called requesting to speak with Deputy Jeremy Day regarding the car that was impounded and $3,400 was found inside by the repo. Jeremy Day responded.

2:31 p.m. — Harassment. In the vicinity of Dollar General on Mayfield Mountain. Reporting party advised that an employee that quit in June has been harassing her. Reporting party stated that the subject comes by the store and her house and causes a scene, and she would like to file a report.

2/14/23

6:28 a.m. — Harassment. In the vicinity of Steve Owens Road. Reporting party wants to speak to a deputy in reference to his neighbor calling her names and harassing her. Jeremy Day was given this information.

6:40 a.m. — Trespassing. In the vicinity of S. 4710 Road. Reporting party advised there is a subject in her driveway in a blue Fiat and won’t leave. She was over there yesterday, and she was told not to come back. Daniel Whitus responded.

12:18 p.m. — Vandalism. In the vicinity of S. Wind. Reporting party advised that her mailbox was messed up last night, and she wants to file a report. She stated that she won’t be home until after 3 p.m., but she is going to call when she gets home. Gore PD responded.

12:20 p.m. — Speak with Deputy.

Reporting party advised that her daughter left her car at a subject’s residence, possibly to be fixed, north of Muldrow, and today she got a call that her car was at WW Grocery with a spare tire and the tag missing. Reporting party advised that Ford has been trying to repo the vehicle for about 6 months, but she did not know the car had been taken off the subject’s property. Galen Irvin responded.

1:55 p.m. — Burglary. In the vicinity of S. 4789 Road. Reporting party advised that the door at Lee Creek FD #1 was found kicked opened. Unsure if anyone is still inside. Reporting party is standing by outside of fire department. The chief has been notified. Daniel Whitus and Galen Irvin responded.

6:43 p.m. — Petit Larceny. In the vicinity of E. 952 Road. Ball hitch on work truck was stolen. Reporting party says his friends found it in a neighbor’s car. Jeff Neighbors responded.

6:57 p.m. — Property Dispute.

In the vicinity of S. 4536 Road. Reporting party advised that a subject and two other male subjects are on their property trying to remove their gate and dig up their fence posts. Charles Webber advised it was civil.

2/15/23 8:19 a.m. — Stolen Property.

Reporting party needs to file a report of fencing being stolen and threats being made. Shane Petree advised it was civil.

12:41 p.m. — Argument. In the vicinity of E. 968 Road. Reporting party advised that her brother is yelling and screaming, and she wants a deputy to come talk to him. She stated that there are no weapons. Roger Johnson responded.

1:55 p.m. — Vandalism. In the vicinity of Highway 100. Reporting party advised that a man is at his rental property and is tearing up the front gate. Deputy requested. Colton Goff, Allen Ramey, Shane Petree, Gore PD and Austin Blackfox made an arrest.

2:40 p.m. — Threats. In the vicinity of E. 965 Loop. Reporting party advised that he got raped by a surgeon for the second time, and he sent some emails to his friend and made threats toward his friend in 2021. He stated that his friend who he sent emails to lives in Georgia. Randy Taylor responded.

7:39 p.m. — Threats. In the vicinity of the VFW. Reporting party advised that his ex-girlfriend has her two sons with her, and they are headed to the Muldrow VFW to beat him up. He stated there are three other unknown males and also a female with them. Possibly in a two-door black car. The driver’s side window is taped up. Reporting party stated they are coming from Stilwell. Subject carried a .22 pistol and a knife. He has been to prison before. Reporting party was told that they are going to wait outside and jump him when he comes out. Allen Ramey was given this information.

9:43 p.m. — Disturbance. In the vicinity of Highway 101. Reporting party advised that someone was beating on the side of the house. Unable to see anyone. Has also been inside the daughter’s car, and beer cans left around the yard. They believe they know who it may be. Allen Ramey responded.

2/16/23

10:18 a.m. — Stolen Property. In the vicinity of KCS and Cherokee. Reporting party works for the Gans water department and advised that someone that lives on the property where the meter is has been breaking into the meter and turning it on and stealing water. Today is the second time he has found the meter broken into and the water turned on. He wants a deputy to take a report, and he requests a deputy go with him to speak with the individual. Roger Johnson responded.

1:09 p.m. — Information. In the vicinity of S. 4770 Road. Reporting party advised she is sitting in the back room, and her boss texted her and said call the police. She is unsure of what is going on. They have two people who are intoxicated. They are driving a black Dodge with a trailer with a lawnmower on it. Roger Johnson, Shane Petree and Roland PD responded.

2:32 p.m. — Assault. In the vicinity of S. 4760 Road. Reporting party advised that his sister got out of jail today and showed up today and got mad and sprayed him and his dad in the face with pepper spray. Galen Irvin and Roger Johnson responded.

2/17/23

9:31 a.m. — 10-21 phone call. In the vicinity of E. 1093 Road. Reporting party would like to speak to a deputy in reference to his family put up a fence and T-post some years back on a property line, and they are wanting to pull the post up and they are wanting to know if they will get in trouble for pulling up their own fence. Galen Irvin responded.

1:33 p.m. — Assault. In the vicinity of N. 59 by Caughman’s. Reporting party with road crew advised that he was flagged down by the electric company and told to call the sheriff’s department because a blue side-by-side ran a blue car off the road. When confronted, they hit the male in the blue car with a hammer. The male was lying in the road from the assault. The suspect in the blue side-byside left the scene eastbound. Daniel Whitus responded.

3:49 p.m. — Speak with Deputy.

In the vicinity of E. 1080 Road. Wants to speak to a deputy to find out how he can have his exwife removed from his property where she resides. Galen Irvin responded.

4:20 p.m. — Speak with Deputy.

Reporting party advised her family has some firearms that are registered to her, but they will not give them to her. She wants to know what she needs to do. Reporting party is in Louisiana. Jeremy Day spoke to RP via 10-21.

10:35 p.m. — Speak with deputy.

Reporting party states that man was supposed to be working on her vehicle, but has not been and is refusing to give her the keys back. She wants a deputy to meet her at McQuicks to pick up the vehicle at his shop. She doesn’t know his address, that’s why she wants to meet at McQuicks. Charles Webber responded.

11:11 p.m. — In the vicinity of Highway 64. Reporting party advised that she has been fired by the manager on duty, and they got into a verbal altercation. Responding party is in the dressing room and says she is not leaving until they give her the money they owe her. Roland PD responded.

2/18/23

8:16 a.m. — Speak with deputy.

Reporting party wants to speak to a deputy about her neighbor recording her house, and who she has coming and going from her residence. She believes that is invasion of privacy and would like to know what she can do about it. Jeremy Day responded.

12:06 p.m. — Vandalism. In the vicinity of Indian Road. Reporting party advised someone threw a rock at her light and broke it and she would like to make a report. Jeremy Day responded.

02/18/2023 to 02/27/2023

During the week of Feb. 18 to 28, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to seven animal calls, 65 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

2/18/23

1:01 p.m.- Accident without injuries- Sallisaw PD is out with a vehicle that went off the roadway in the county. They advised the driver is heavily intoxicated. Troop was notified. -Daniel Whitus made an arrest.

2:17 p.m.- Speak with deputy- In the vicinity of E. 1050 Rd. RP advised his ex-wife is harassing his family. He would like to know if he can disconnect her cell phone. -Jeremy Day responded.

3:10 p.m.- Speak with deputy- In the vicinity of E. 1030 Rd. RP advised he purchased a house from a subject and the previous owner is housing horses on the property. They would like to know what their rights are and how they can get the horses off the property. -Daniel Whitus responded.

8:45 p.m.- Property Dispute- In the vicinity of S. 4530 Rd. RP advised her father-in-law is refusing to give her the phone she has paid for. She is wanting to report it stolen. -Charles Webber advised it was civil.

2/19/23 9:41 a.m.- Speak with deputy- In the vicinity of E. 1116 Rd. RP advised her niece has been living with her since her brother passed away and she refuses to listen, has been acting out and running away. She wants to know if a deputy can come talk to her. -Daniel Whitus responded.

2:15 p.m.- Other- In the vicinity of Roland Lake. RP advised she is at the lake with her family and they went walking on one of the trails. There was a big rock with what appeared to be a bone sticking out. She started digging around the area to see what it was and found several other bones. She stated she believes these are human bones and the area appears to be a grave. She is at the lake and will be waiting for a deputy near her vehicle to show him where the bones are. -Galen Irvin responded.

2/20/23

11:23 a.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4823 Rd. RP advised there is a male, bigger build, short brownish hair, wearing all black. No vehicle in the parking lot of River Valley Natural Health in Moffett. RP advised the male looked 63 and they locked the doors. The male attempted to get into the building after the doors were locked a couple of times, and is walking around the parking lot now where their cars are. -Cody Parkerson, Austin Blackfox and Roland Pd responded.

11:31 a.m.- Trespassing- In the vicinity of S. 4588 Rd. RP advised there are several kids riding lawn mowers that keep trespassing on his property and he’s told them several times to stay off his property, they aren’t listening and getting stuck and tearing up the yard. -Shane Petree responded.

4:45 p.m.- Sig 87/88- In the vicinity of 4700 Rd. RP advised a male who lives down Bawcom Road is intoxicated and driving up and down the road in a red truck. -Austin Blackfox responded.

5:52 p.m.- Vandalism- In the vicinity of S. 4610 Rd. RP advised he was arrested last night at his girlfriend’s residence and his truck was left there. He went to get his truck and all the windows are busted out of it and he would like to make a report. -Mark Choate took this report.

8:38 p.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of S. 4540 Rd. RP advised a family member called and said he needed help because his mom has a knife and is trying to stab him. RP advised she heard screaming and then the call disconnected. RP made several attempts to call them and had negative contact. She then received a tex that said “your brother is dead.” She advised her mother is schizophrenic, as well as drunk. -Allen Ramey responded.

9:01 p.m.- Speak with deputy- In the vicinity of S. 4612 Rd. RP advised there has been a suspicious vehicle in the area. A dark grey or black sports car. He just wants to know if he can use a BB gun to defend himself because he is a felon. -Allen Ramey responded.

2/21/23

4:51 a.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Hwy. 10A. RP advised there was a male subject walking in front of his residence yelling at himself and he headed south on Tower Rd. -Allen Ramey responded.

10:16 a.m.- In the vicinity of E. 965 Rd. RP advised he believes the place he bought a car from has been messing with his other car on his property. RP stated he put knives in his vehicle and gun parts, and within a few days they were missing. RP advised he is currently working on that vehicle, replaced the spark plugs and checked the wiring, and a few days later the knives were put back and the spark plug was loose. He is mostly concerned with the vehicle getting vandalized and people being on his property. -Shane Petree responded.

11:56 a.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of Finish Line. RP advised they have an employee who has been stealing checks, taking money from customers and stealing supplies from the shop They would like to make a report. -Austin Blackfox responded.

2/22/23

12:03 a.m.- In the vicinity of N.

59. RP advised there are people fighting in the VFW, one male was hit in the head three times with a pool stick by another male. -Allen Ramey, Mark Choate and Sallisaw PD responded.

2:33 p.m.- 10-21 phone call- In the vicinity of Muldrow Maple. RP advised his father passed away and they had an agreement that if either one of them was to go to the property they would notify each other. His sister is at the house right now and he wants to know what can be done. -Galen Irvin spoke to party via phone.

4:51 p.m.- Trash Dumping- In the vicinity of S. 4760 Rd. RP is wanting a deputy to come to his property in regard to his neighbor’s trash going all over his field. -Galen Irvin responded.

9:47 p.m.- Traffic- In the vicinity of Hwy. 101. RP advised there was a car in the roadway on Hwy. 101. Advised the back window was down, appeared to be someone inside but no lights or flashers on. -Jeff Neighbors responded.

2/23/23

10:46 a.m.- Vandalism- In the vicinity of Strayhorn Marina. RP advised he has had some vandalism happen to the marina and needs to report it. RP advised he’d call back when he gets back from lunch. -Jeremy Day responded.

12:21 p.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of I-40. 802 advised 818 that there was a male laying on the ground, possibly resting, but can do a welfare check in case. -Colton Goff responded.

9:37 p.m.- Threats- At the Outhouse. RP advised that the owner of the bar would not let his bartender leave and was keeping her keys from her. -Charles Webber and Jeff Neighbors responded.

2/24/23

1:56 p.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of E. 997 Rd. RP advised his daughter-in-law won’t give him his phone back and he wants to press charges. He stated he doesn’t know what her name is because he doesn’t like her and she’s rude. He stated she got his phone because it broke and his son is supposed to fix the phone, and she is refusing to give it back. He stated he had to walk to the neighbor’s house to use the phone. -Shane Petree responded.

2:32 p.m.- Other- In the vicinity of E. 1040 Rd. RP advised she wants to make a report because someone she knows is impersonating an investigator. She also stated she spoke with him regarding this matter and he advised her to call dispatch to speak with a deputy to make a report. -Austin Blackfox responded.

2/25/23

8:07 a.m.- Fraud- In the vicinity of S. 4523 Rd. RP advised he drives a Razorback cab and picked up a male from Fort Smith and brought him to his residence north of Vian. He stated the man told him he needed to grab his card, went inside the residence, locked the door and is refusing to come out and pay. -Shane Petree responded.

3:05 p.m.- Fire- In the vicinity of Tenkiller Dam. RP advised there is a large fire near the dam. Parks 203 is going to check if it is a controlled burn by the Refuge. -Tenkiller State Park responded.

5:21 p.m.- Complaint- In the vicinity of S. 4465 Rd. RP wants a deputy to come out, she owns a campground and the neighbor’s dog stole one of her camper’s shoes. They need assistance making contact with the dog owner. -Shane Petree responded.

2/26/23

9:27 a.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of S. 4760 Rd. RP advised she is pregnant and arguing with her dad and boyfriend. While on the phone, all three parties could be heard yelling at each other and arguing. After all parties were separated into different rooms the RP advised both males have been threatening to send her to jail. She stated this made her upset so she started breaking glass in the home. There are weapons in the home but they are currently locked in a safe. -Shane Petree responded.

3:10 p.m.- Breaking and Entering In the vicinity of E. 1115 Rd. RP advised someone broke into his home while he was away earlier and stole some of his tools. -Shane Petree responded.

4:48 p.m.- Breaking and Entering RP reported someone damaged his RV and his insurance company is requesting a report. -Austin Blackfox responded.

6:06 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of I-40. RP advised a black Chevy truck is on the off ramp with a white male and two kids. Kids ran out into the road trying to flag down vehicles. Transferred call to OHP and gave to 808. -Mark Choate responded.

2/27/23

3:35 a.m.- Information- RP went to the Sheriff’s Office and advised he wanted to report a larceny and a murder that had taken place. He spoke to 810 last night. 810 was given his name and phone number again and will be returning his call. -Mark Choate responded.

10:15 a.m.- Trespassing- RP advised kids were playing in the driveway, they have recently been trespassed. Dispatch talked to 804 and he advised them it is a property dispute and it’s civil. -Daniel Whitus responded.
