Board approves personnel for 2023-24 school year

The Sallisaw School Board met Monday to approve a list of employees for the upcoming 2023-24 school year along with a few other items included on their monthly agenda.

The Sallisaw School Board met Monday to approve a list of employees for the upcoming 2023-24 school year along with a few other items included on their monthly agenda.

Following an approval of all reports, Jenkins & Kemper of Bixby was selected again as the auditor for the 2022-23 school year. The firm has served the school for several years.

The board also approved to hire Leah Agent as the Adjunct Instructor for Anatomy and Physiology (ICTC courses); Thesa Loving as Adjunct Instructor for Art; Robbie Martin as the Adjunct Instructor for Physical Education; and Kiah Smith as Adjunct Instructor for Physical Ed for the 2023-24 school year.

Following an executive session, the board approved to hire the following list of school staff: Adult Ed: Janice Avila – (hourly), Judy Blair – (hourly), Pamela Davis – sub (extra duty), Marsha Glover – (hourly), Laura Hunt – secretary (hourly), Carol MacDonald – secre- tary (hourly), and Beverly Sizemore – director; Maintenance workers include: Reece Bush, Brent Callahan – Director, and Poncho Mendiola; Technology staff hired were: Josh Dees, Oralia Fears, Tyler Mathis, and Stephanie McClure; Other hires included: Ernie Martens – Home School Liaison, Steve Merrill – Treasurer, Jamie Phillips – School Based Social Worker, and Herman Skelton – Security; Child Nutrition staff includes: Charlite Barker, Christa Barker – manager, Katherine Biggs, Carrie Bowles – Director, Amber Brown, Mary Brown – (hourly), Helen Christenberry, Kayla Christenberry, Tangaine Curry, Angelia Gann – (four-hour), Arlene Hoyt, lantha Isham – manager, Kellie Jacobs – manager, Bobbie Johnson – (five-hour), Vicky Matthews – (hourly), Angela McGee, Tanya McLaughlin, Beverly Moore, Vincent Pierce, Karla Rawlings, Kayla Rawlings, Shirley Rogers, Sherry Sheppard – manager, Wendy Vinson, Nathasha Vowell – (five-hour), and Audra Walton; Bus drivers hired include: Joshua Bailey, Kenneth Booth – Director, Pamela Burns, Billy Cox, Clifford Eppler – (sub), Helen Gann, Danny Harp – (sub), Michael Huff – (sub), Raylene Hunt, Kelvin Jamison, Linda Lillard, Jack Lineberry, Ronnie Long, James Martin, Pamela Overton, Robert Overton, Preston Remer, Barbara Roth, Ted Taylor – mechanic, and Louis Walkingstick.

Secretaries hired or rehired include: Sheila Johnson – Liberty, Janna Mcinerney – Eastside, Erin Buckaloo – Middle School, Stacy House – Middle School, Sandy Hoover – High School, Shawna Myers -High School, Shawna Wilson-High School, Amy Callahan – admin AP/Activity fund, Charlotte Echols – Admin Encumbrance Clerk, Brooke Griffey – Supt. Secretary/personnel leave, Tana Morgan – Admin., Payroll/Insurance Coordinator, and Laura Hunt – hourly assistant.

Teacher assistants and Paraprofessionals hired included the following: Liberty: Atalia Auld, Raven Cheney, Brenda Covington, Lindsay Glover, Misty Hardwick, Kiah Harris, Ryleigh Harris, Ashbi Jones, Kaylee Martin, Brandi McGinnis, Madison Morgan, Betty Pierce, Lisa Randolph, Jan Sharp, Madison Stites, Janie Tarkington, and Katlyn Wiley; Eastside: Legertha Bland, Mercedes Bynum, Misty Dyer, Ashley Howard, Jordan Jones and Carrie Treat; Middle School: Maria Bethany, Connie Cartmill, Ashton Darcy, Karen Likens, and Laurie Macon; High School: Harlie Adams, Karen Carlton, Danushka Dominic, Janice Gentile, Roberta Lineberry, and Christine White.

Custodians hired included the following: Liberty: Zachary Smith, Regina Coppock and Lula Hickman; Eastside: Sandra Carr, Sharon Hoover and Danita Webb; Middle School: Susie Cherry, Bradley Washington, Quinton Osburn – (hourly), and Sinue Rodriguez, also as a coaches aide; High School: Josh Bolin – also coaches aide, Seth Morgan – football field, Belinda Howard, Stephen Thompson, and Joseph Willis.

Administration also hired was Frances Garrett also as a bus matron.

Middle School extra duties staff hired included: Casey Weaver-Band Director, Christian Campbell-Asst. Band Director, Cindi Jamison-Gifted and Talented, Katelyn Weese-Student Council, Muranda Hollie-Student Council, Site IT, Shannon Bair-Academic Team Coach, and Nicki Thomason-Academic Team Asst.

District Wide Extra Duties hired are: Jennifer Jones-Concession Coordinator, Erika Dickerson-Special Ed Director, and Susan Barger-MS/HS Distance Learning Coordinator.

High School Extra Duties staff hired included the following: Band Director-Geoff Webb, Jazz Band-Geoff Webb, Asst. Director SHS/TSMS/JAZZ/CONCERT -Casey Weaver, Asst. Band Director-Christian Campbell, Diamond Ref./Tapestry-vacant, Debate-Haleigh Blount, Academic Coach-Delyna Herren, Student Council-Sarah Jackson and Rachael McElhaney.
