The board accepted the resignations of Ag teacher and FFA advisor Myron Lockwood, Special Education teacher Tammy Lockwood and Paraprofessional Judith Bradley.
Kensey Richards was unanimously approved as an adjunct teacher for Geography and World History.
A motion was also made to approve the School Organization Fundraiser for high school band to sell suckers after school hours, according to meeting minutes.
The board members went into an executive session to discuss employment opportunities and reconvened about 45 minutes later. The board reportedly did not take any official votes or action during the executive session.
Superintendent Lori Wiggins gave the board details for the ICTC school board training in April, along with an audit contract for Wilson, Dotson & Associates to perform the 2022-23 annual school audit. Board vice president Jerry Brooks made a motion, followed by a second motion from clerk Charles Howard to approve the annual school auditing contract with the firm. The audit period will cover the 2022-23 Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
The Indian Policies and Procedures for Roland Public School District for the 2022-23 school year was also unanimously approved, along with surplus items, which included Buses #20, 22 and 23, and Fusion #3.
In financial matters, the board approved the following: Building Fund #81-90 for $4,519.01; Co-op Fund #5764 for $ 975.20; General Fund #16511652, 1821-1886 for $343,868.65; and General Fund payroll #1653-1820 for $591,131.82.
