Members learn about spring cleaning
We had nine ladies weighed in this Monday. Willene had the best weight loss for the week with 2.4 pounds. Way to go Willene! Keep up the good work. The Two Bit Bowl name drawn was Annette. We will have weekly contests for the next month or so. This week the weekly contest was ‘Learn it, live it, my Fruit and Vegetable Card’. Jerry won the contest, so she received a condensation mug coaster. Two ribbons were removed from the Surprise Box. We still have quite a few ribbons to remove.

Another cannonball was handed out for the members to add to their notebooks. “Spring Cleaning…a program to clear out the cobwebs.” Spring cleaning is an annual ritual for many of us. As the temperatures warm we throw the windows wide open to let fresh air into our homes for the first time in months. Our thoughts turn to planting flowers and produce now that the earth is once again receptive to growing and the landscape begins to transform. Are we receptive to growing and transforming in a new season of our lives”. Really receptive? Sometimes the spring cleaning we need to do on the inside is the key to cleaning up other areas of our lives. Sometimes, without even knowing, cobwebs from the past are hiding in the corners of our minds, taking up the space we need for new season of your live? Now think about your attitude toward items in your hoe that may be holding you back. Are you keeping all your “fat jeans: or larger sized clothes “just in case” you need them again? Do you have items around your home that say things like “Die before diet” or “A balanced diet is a cupcake in each hand”? Are you stockpiling candies and snack foods “for company”? Is there a pile of fitness videos or an exercise machine in your home that is just taking up space and making yu feel guilty each time you walk by? Maybe it’s time for us to spring clean our weight-loss goals and attitudes toward our chapter, too. Approach your inner spring cleaning the same way, one thing at a time. It’s okay to start with something small. Make a list of a few things that you “should” change. Circle one thing you believe you can start doing this week, and then really aim to stick to it for 21 days until the seed of change starts to take root in your life.
