Police Logs

During the week of March 20 to 25, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 13 animal calls, 77 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

During the week of March 20 to 25, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 13 animal calls, 77 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

3/20/23

11: 19 a.m.- Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP advised her landlord told her she had to leave and she left property at the residence, and now she’d like to know how to get it back.

12: 39 p.m.- 10-21 phone call- In the vicinity of S. 4640 Rd. RP is wanting to speak to a deputy about the law on repos. He sold someone a camper on payments and they had a contract, and now they have it behind a locked gate. -Austin Blackfox responded.

8: 22 p.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of S. 4735 Rd. RP advised they arrived home about an hour ago and sometime within the last 30 to 40 minutes, someone has driven past their residence and shot their vehicle with a paint ball gun. -Allen Ramey responded.

2/21/23

12: 22 a.m.- Trespassing- In the vicinity of 4437 Rd. RP advised a subject is inside his residence talking with his son. He has been trespassed from the residence and told repeatedly to leave.

9: 52 a.m.- Drugs- In the vicinity of E. 1113 Rd. RP advised she is cleaning out a house she bought and the previous owner’s stuff is in there. She said he found drugs and drug paraphernalia, and would like a deputy to come get it. -Shane Petree responded.

7: 29 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of E. 987 Rd. RP advised her sister has been staying with her. She is now starting to argue with the RP and the RP wants her removed from the residence. -Mark Choate advised it was civil.

9: 24 p.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of S. 4610 Rd. RP advised there is a vehicle, unknown description, that stopped just north of her house. She then heard what sounded like a gunshot and seen a flash, and the vehicle drove off north towards the Adair county line.-Duwaine Chase responded.

3/22/23

3: 20 a.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of E. 967 Rd. RP advised her sister threw a brick through the window of the RP’s car and it hit her in the face and the glass cut up her arm. RP is refusing EMS. Subject left the residence heading south on Hwy. 100 wearing a pink hoodie, black beanie and has short hair.

At 3:33 subject returned with a 2×4 and is attempting to smash things in the residence. The RP left the residence to get away from her. -Gore PD, Mark Choate and Duwaine Chase responded.

12: 29 p.m.- Threats- In the vicinity of Grand. RP has a shop in Moffett and the neighbor who lives behind there came walking across the street, cussing and threatening him. He has done this before, and he’s afraid to even open his door to the shop.

2: 27 p.m.- 10-21 Phone call- In the vicinity of E. 1100 Rd. RP advised she and her husband split up three months ago and today, he and his new girlfriend dropped some of her things off at the end of her driveway. Some of her things were broken and she is wanting to know what can be done about it. -Daniel Whitus responded.

3/23/23

1: 23 a.m.- Other- In the vicinity of E. 1063 Rd. RP wants to file a report concerning an attempted theft of a 4-wheeler. He advised he came home and found someone had attempted to take his 4-wheeler. He believes the suspect was someone that lives with his neighbor. -Jeff Neighbors and Charles Webber responded.

3: 47 p.m.- Speak with Deputy Would like to speak with a deputy about picking up a camper that had been stolen from her. They were told on the 1st to give them time to get personal items out of the camper.

4: 07 p.m.- Welfare Check- RP advised there is a female in the parking lot by The Feed Barn with a black duffle bag. She appears to be under the influence of something and would like a deputy to check on her. -Daniel Whitus responded.

7: 15 p.m.- Noise Complaint- In the vicinity of E. 966 Rd. RP advised his neighbors are shooting guns and have had three large explosions. It is scaring his animals and he’d like a deputy to attempt to make contact and ask them to stop. -Charles Webber responded.

3/24/23

10: 01 a.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of S. 4730 Rd. RP advised he had some firearms stolen from either his house or car, and he’d like to make a report.

11: 35 a.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of S. 4823 Rd. Black Volkswagon Jetta was sitting on their property for like 45 minutes and not coming in, so they asked them to leave. Now they are down the road just sitting.

10: 26 p.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- RP advised there was a vehicle sitting near his residence with its lights on. He requested a deputy check the vehicle. -Allen Ramey responded.

3/25/23

2: 36 a.m.- Suspicious Person- RP called advising a subject on a 4-wheeler. He said just about every night the subject goes into the woods in this area. The subject goes into the woods directly across from RP’s residence by the Landmark Holiness Church.

-Duwaine Chase responded.

9: 59 a.m.- Breaking and Entering- In the vicinity of S. 4792 Rd. RP advised his neighbor’s residence has been broken into.

All of the screens are off the windows and the front door is open. He believes there is no one in the residence. Owner is headed to the residence now to see if anything is missing. -Brian Stone responded.

1: 28 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4700 Rd. RP advised there is a male about 25 to 30-years-old wearing blue jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and a ball cap, pushing a baby stroller with a car battery and crowbar in it. -Brian Stone responded.

6: 13 p.m.- Property Dispute- In the vicinity of E. 1046 Rd. RP advised her brother is taking things off property she owns that does not belong to him, but he was the last person to live at the residence. No one is currently living in the residence.

-Allen Ramey responded.

9: 02 p.m.- Other- In the vicinity of 5th St. RP is with a recovery company and enroute to pick up a U-haul. He is over an hour out and would like someone to check the location, and confirm that the U-haul is at the residence. RP called back and advised he located the U-haul and requested to speak with a deputy. -Joshua Huff responded.
