Vian Superintendent’s resignation accepted
Along with business manager’s in special meeting
Vian Public School Superintendent Victor Salcedo and Business Manager Ed Brockman’s resignations were accepted by the Vian Board of Education on March 29, during a special meeting.
Vian Public School Superintendent Victor Salcedo and Business Manager Ed Brockman’s resignations were accepted by the Vian Board of Education on March 29, during a special meeting.
After going into an executive session to discuss the employment of Salcedo and Brockman, the board reconvened about an hour later.
A motion was then made by board vice president Ken Pack, followed by a second motion from board member Joe Paul Simon to accept Salcedo’s resignation, effective June 30, 2023, with all other board members voting yes.
Board President Ed Barton then made a motion to accept Brockman’s resignation, followed by a second motion from Simon, with all other board members unanimously voting to accept Brockman’s resignation, effective June 30, 2023.
Under business matters, the board approved Encumbrances #579-583 and changes for a net increase of $91,103.72 within the 2022-23 General Funds, and no changes within the 2022-23 Building Fund or Sinking Fund.
