42nd annual OHCE quilt show and bake sale April 14-15

The 42nd annual Sequoyah County OHCE quilt show will be held at the Sequoyah County Fair Building on Friday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The 42nd annual Sequoyah County OHCE quilt show will be held at the Sequoyah County Fair Building on Friday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Quilt entries will be accepted at the fairgrounds building from 7:30 a.m. until noon Thursday, April 13.

The owner of the quilt should have their name, address and phone number pinned to the back of the quilt in the lower right hand corner. Due to space, entries are limited to three quilts per person. Number quilts 1-3 in priority of your choice.

Quilts previously entered in this show will not be accepted. Quilts must be hand-quilted or machine-quilted and finished. Release forms will be given during check-in, and must be presented to pick up quilts on Saturday.

Quilts will be taken down after 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Sponsors are not responsible for lost or damaged entries left after the show.

Admission is $5 per person. You may also register to win a beautiful queen-size Carpenters Star quilt. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5, and can be purchased at the door.

Check out the craft and bake sale table for handmade items and for cakes, pies, cookies, fried pies and other goodies.

On Friday, lunch will be available for $10. On the menu are chicken, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, assorted salads, rolls, dessert and drink. On Saturday, the menu will be snacks and drinks, individually priced.

For more information, call Pat Taylor at 918-315-1749 or Mildred Taylor at 918-571-8025.
