During the week of April 10 to 17, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 15 animal calls, 108 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:
4/10/23
10:42 a.m.- Speak with Deputy RP would like to speak with a deputy about workers who are working on a water line parking too close to the stop sign. -Daniel Whitus responded.
6:12 p.m.- Child- In the vicinity of N. Cottonwood. RP has had her cousin’s baby for three weeks while she has been in jail. She brought the baby to a residence on N. Cottonwood to see the mother and a subject took the baby into the residence and is refusing to give the baby back to the RP. -Jeff Neighbors responded.
6:37 p.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of E. 1056 Rd. RP called and reported a suspicious vehicle. She advised her son was outside and a vehicle stopped and advised they had struck a mailbox and wanted him to go see if it was his. Her son refused to go with them and left. She believed it stopped by a neighbor’s before leaving. -Jeff Neighbors responded.

4:01 p.m.- Trespassing- In the vicinity of E. 1050 Rd. RP advised her neighbor told her yesterday that they saw someone climbing over her fence. RP does not know if anyone is still there nor if anything has been taken, she is in Tulsa but that was yesterday. -Galen Irvin responded.
8:56 p.m.- Stolen Vehicle- In the vicinity of Applegate. RP advised she is the owner of T-Rex Towing in LeFlore county and she received a call stating her vehicle, that has been reported stolen through LeFlore county, is at Applegate at a campsite with the possible suspects. It is a grey Pontiac Vibe with pink interior. RP is requesting a deputy in case the possible suspects give her driver any issues. -Charles Webber responded.
4/12/23
9:09 a.m.- Suspicious Person- RP advised there is a male subject wearing a green hoodie and blue jeans at WW Grocery, and the clerk wants him removed. -Brian Stone responded.
10:53 a.m.- Vandalism- In the vicinity of E. 1092 Rd. RP advised someone is vandalizing the turf around Fleetwood Cemetery graves and he’d like to make a report. -Austin Blackfox responded.
8:12 p.m.- Other- In the vicinity of E. 953 Rd. RP advised there is a very strong sewer smell in the area. She believes it is coming from the neighbor’s residence. She has contacted the landlord in the past but the smell is getting worse. -Mark Choate spoke to RP via phone.
8:30 p.m.- Suspicious Person- RP advised they were westbound on Old 64 near Shady Grove and passed a black male walking. He came toward them and tried to grab them off a motorcycle. The male was in dark-colored clothing. -Allen Ramey responded.

3:14 a.m.- Other- Duwaine Chase advised his body camera was not working and wanted the information logged.
9:07 p.m.- Trespassing- RP advised his renter contacted him and advised the locks on his gate have been cut. They are en route to the location and would like a deputy to meet them. -Duwaine Chase responded.
4/14/23
3:28 a.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of S. 4523 Rd. RP advised a white Chevy Traverse keeps driving by slowly and will stop in front of her residence, making her dogs go crazy. -Mark Choate responded.
7:24 a.m.- Other- In the vicinity of S. 4749 Rd. RP advised someone tried to steal his four-wheeler overnight and they did damage to it. He advised this has happened before and he’s wanting to make a report. -Galen Irvin responded.
10:20 a.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of E. 1026 Rd. Guy has been walking around in Sequoyah Little Farms since 6 a.m. He is wearing an orange sweatshirt and dark pants. -Daniel Whitus responded.
5:00 p.m.- Welfare Check- Male subject wearing shorts and a hat sitting on the edge of Garrison Bridge, yelling. -Daniel Whitus and Galen Irvin responded.
8:30 p.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of Hwy. 101. RP advised there is a truck and two cars with several individuals around them in the roadway, in front of his residence. -Cody Parkerson and Jeff Neighbors made an arrest.
4/15/23
6:25 p.m.- Trash Dumping- RP called and reported seeing a flatbed pickup with a large amount of trash on Hwy. 64, east of Vian, at the bridge crossing the railroad. She later discovered the vehicle dumped trash by the bridge and wished to talk to a deputy. -Charles Webber responded.
8:55 p.m.- Trespassing- RP advised there is a homeless man on a bike in their parking lot at Pharm 788 and wants him removed. -Jeff Neighbors responded.
4/16/23
7:14 a.m.- Threats- In the vicinity of E. 953 Rd. RP advised she has been having problems with her neighbors. He has assaulted her husband in the past and continues to make threats to her. -Justin Deuley responded.
2:15 p.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of Dollar General in Gans. RP advised a man stole a case of beer from the store. This man has previously been banned from the store but she doesn’t remember his name. She stated he lives behind the store.
4/17/23
12:01 a.m.- Fire- RP advised of there being a bunch of smoke between New Hope Church and Sequoyah’s Cabin. RP did not see any fires. -Jeff Neighbors responded.
12:30 a.m.- Prowler- In the vicinity of S. 4580 Rd. RP advised a white male with a grey hat, white shirt and blue jeans opened the door to her residence and when he seen someone was in there, he ran off. RP believes it is the person living in the camper trailer near the property. -Jeff Neighbors and Cody Parkerson responded.
4:20 a.m.- Suspicious Person- At Pier 7. RP advised there was a man that took the trash bag out of the trash can and slept in it. When she pulled in to open the store, he jumped up, started yelling and chased her through the parking lot. She left the area but advised he was wearing a ball cap and shorts. -Cody Parkerson and Jeff Neighbors responded.
6:24 a.m.- Suspicious Person- At Pier 7. RP advised the male subject from earlier is back out there by the ice machine. He is an older Indian or Mexican male wearing a black shirt and black shorts. -Brian Stone and Austin Blackfox responded.
