Announcements of upcoming events for non-profit organizations and events in Sequoyah County may be delivered to Your TIMES in several different ways. They may be mailed to or hand delivered to Your TIMES at 111 N. Oak St. in Sallisaw. Events may be telephoned in by calling (918) 775-4433, or they may be e-mailed to news@seqcotimes.com or from a special form on Your TIMES Web site at www.sequoyahcountytimes.com.

The deadline for announcements for Wednesday’s edition is 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The deadline for announcements in Friday’s edition is 11 a.m. Thursday.

Your TIMES welcomes announcements and is pleased to publish them so that Sequoyah County residents can take advantage of the many activities occurring in the county.

Buffington Cemetery annual Bean Supper Fundraiser, 5 to 7 p.m., Sequoyah County Fairgrounds. Menu includes brown beans, chili, chicken and dumplings, fried potatoes, poke salad, coleslaw, cornbread and homemade desserts. Adults $8, kids 5-10 $5, and kids under 4 eat free. Silent auction. Everyone welcome.

Medication Take Back Event, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Clif’s Pharmacy. Prescription, over the counter, unused or expired drugs. Safe disposal. No syringes. Sponsored by Sallisaw Now Coalition.

Connors College annual reunion, 11 a.m., Student Union Registration. All alumni and friends of the college invited. Johnie Dale Denny, formerly of Sallisaw, will be inducted into the Connors College Hall of Fame.

Free community pancake breakfast from 8:30-10:30 a.m., First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw, 2100 McGee Dr. All are welcome.

Tucker Community Supper, 5 to 7 p.m., Tucker Community Building. Menu includes ham, chicken/dressing, BBQ, veggies, desserts, tea and coffee.

Adults $8, children under 12 $4. Proceeds for the upkeep of Cowlington and Short Mountain Cemetery. Everyone invited to attend.

Come and Discover the excitement at the Library Mystery at 4 p.m. “A Murder On The Grill.” Find out who Murdered Tom Dooley during his cookout while a thunderstorm is firing up in Kansas City, Missouri. This takes place in the 1950s, while Rock ‘n’ Roll is at it’s peak. Don’t Miss the Fun.

Free crochet classes 2 to 4 p.m. at 3700 W. Cherokee Ave., Blue Ribbon Chapel, Sallisaw, with the Bizzy Beez. Classes held every Thursday.
