Saying things that others hate
Dear Editor, 1st Peter Chapter 2 = 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lords sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15For so is the will of God.
Dear Editor,
1st Peter Chapter 2-13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15For so is the will of God.
One thing God is teaching us in these few verses is that evildoers are supposed to be punished by a Godly Government of the people. Now we have some McCurtain County employees that are forced to resign their position because their conversation was caught on tape. They did no evil, but their “locker room” talk or personal, casual jest talkings must not be protected by the First Amendment, which is there in our Constitution for the purpose of protecting those who say things that others hate.
We have a constitutional right to speak any words without the law coming down on us. Some may hate what was said but must not hate the person that said it. Christians do not hate sexual perverts but we hate the ungodly acts: we don’t hate the pedophiles but we hate for them to prey on young impressionable minds and attempt to recruit them by destroying their faith in a God of morals.
My mom had a dog she named Sparky and she loved that dog, and that dog loved her. A few years later mom got some little chicks and fed and watered them, and loved to watch them grow in that little chicken house with a high protective fence all around the house and yard to keep them safe from the foxes, opossums and skunks.
Before they began laying eggs, Mom heard a strange noise coming from the direction of her chicken house, so she hurried down there, and what she found broke her heart. Sparky had somehow dug under the fence and killed every one of her chickens. He was wagging his tail as he looked Mom in the face, because his dog mind thought he had done real good for his master. My mother did not hate her dog, but she sure hated what he did.
Psalm 97:10-Ye that love the Lord, hate evil.
