05/01/2023 to 05/08/23

During the week of May 1 to 8, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to six animal calls, 69 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

5/1/23

2:30 p.m. – Domestic – Hwy. 82 – RP advised that she believes her friend is actively involved in a domestic. She advised the friend called her and advised they were fighting and she was afraid, and that the male was coming back to the residence and hung up. Shane Petree responded.

11:07 p.m. – Welfare Check – 4460 and 1030 Rd. – OHP requesting a welfare check on a male subject who’s friend made him get out of the vehicle. He advised he is carrying a bunch of stuff and is headed toward Gore Landing. He advised he’s getting heated but does not want EMS. – Mark Choate responded.

5/2/23

1:19 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafe – 124 2nd Street – RP advised he and a friend went to visit another friend. When he got out of the vehicle, a Mexican male wearing black clothing and a white male with one leg walked up and pulled firearms on them.

The male wearing all black fired the weapon. No one was hit and minors were present. RP left and headed toward Arkansas. He said he wasn’t dealing with this and just wanted them to be aware of the reckless discharge of the firearm. – Mark Choate and Allen Ramey responded.

1:31 p.m. – Other – 102540 E. 1026 Road – 807 advised a lady was standing on the side of the road with a pair of bolt cutters. He turned around and she ran away from him. – Shane Petree responded.

2:23 p.m. – Threats – E. 1100 Road – Wants to make a report against two people for terroristic threatening and also that they have not had water since Dec. 5. – Brian Stone responded.

3:48 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 4570 Road – Maroon Cadillac on eastbound lane on the rock bridge. Almost got hit by multiple cars. – Brian Stone responded.

9:25 p.m. – Suspicious Person Scott’s Store/Bin Store – Sallisaw dispatch requested deputy assistance in locating a male attempting to break into a store and the storeowner pulled a gun on him. The man took off towards Motel 6. Sallisaw dispatch advised they had the man. – Allen Ramey responded.

11:19 p.m. – Suspicious Person Hwy. 100 near McQuick’s – Male dressed in all black walking. RP received calls from neighbors wanting him checked out. – Mark Choate responded.

5/3/23

12:36 p.m. – Deputy Assistance – Dollar General store – Dollar General called 911 requesting an ambulance to the store for a male in his 20’s with chest pain. EMS got on scene and Dollar General called back and advised that the EMTs were requesting a deputy. – Galen Irvin responded.

7:30 p.m. – Argument – E. 1120 Rd. – RP said she passed a female with a backpack with items in her hands. RP said she was running and a male was chasing her. He tried to get the RP to stop. – Jeff Neighbors responded.

5/4/23

5:27 a.m. – Other – Hwy. 101 – RP advised she is on then back porch of a residence near her home and she is able to see people on the ground. She stated she has family members over there and they need her help. RP couldn’t give anymore information. – Cody Parkerson responded.

11:09 a.m. – Domestic – S. 4549 Rd. – RP advised her daughter showed up at her house and forced her way in and assaulted her mother’s friend and is now outside of the home. – Daniel Whitus responded.

9:25 p.m. – Prowler – S. 4720 Rd. – RP reported someone knocking on her window. She didn’t see anyone in person but could hear the knocking. Said person knocking was on the east side of the home. – Jeff Neighbors responded.

11:11 p.m. – Traffic/Other – RP advised there is a vehicle on fire. Greasy Fire Department is on scene and they advised a rock had been thrown through the window and stuff thrown into the back, and set it on fire. – Cody Parkerson responded.

5/5/23

8:43 a.m. – Other – 1046 Rd. – RP says her dad is trying to move out of the residence where he was renting, and the landlord is causing problems. RP says there is a protective order against the landlord’s girlfriend and she is also at the location. Just verbal arguing. RP is requesting to speak with a deputy. – Austin Blackfox responded.

3:05 p.m. – Muldow/In county – RP advised she bonded a family member out of jail and he stole her puppy and took it to a friend’s house. He was kicked out of the friend’s house and they allegedly kept the puppy. RP wants to know how they can get their property back. – Austin Blackfox responded.

5/6/23

12:40 a.m. – Breaking and Entering – S. 4610 Rd. – RP advised they had arrived at the residence and it appears as though someone has been inside. The lights are on and there is a window shade up. RP and owner are outside waiting for deputies before entering. – Mark Choate responded.

9:40 a.m. – Suspicious Person Main St. – RP advised a man is walking down the street with blue jeans and no shirt. He is carrying a possible shotgun and is pointing it at residences and people. – Brian Stone responded.

7:32 p.m. – Assault/Weapon – Hwy. 64B – RP said someone pulled a gun on them, the suspect left going south on 64B towards Muldrow. Weapon looks like a Glock handgun. – Dwaine Chase responded.

5/7/23

8:30 p.m. – Other – RP is boyfriend or ex-boyfriend to missing female. He is wanting to know if we have found anything or checked GPS, etc. – Allen Ramey responded.

5/8/23

12:12 a.m. – Phone Call – RP advised she is a relative of the missing female and that they’re private investigator made contact with her and they need to call off the investigation. – Mark Choate responded.
