COVID-19 national emergency ends
A report from Sequoyah County Emergency Management Deputy Director Jonathan Teague said the decision to end the COVID-19 national emergency Monday, announced by the President recently, will make obtaining information for COVID-19 “hard to get.”

“You can’t even see the reports. They’ve taken them down now,” Teague said.
The weekly reports were available in the beginning of the pandemic and could be located on the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s website. However, information has become scarce in the past few months.
In other business, the commissioners approved to “go out for bid” for concrete work for the parking lot, pavilion and repair work. Another bid approved was a single bid for the county radio project.
Two resolutions to lower the speed limit from 45 to 35 mph on South 4756 Road, otherwise known as Mize Loop in Sequoyah County District 1, were also approved.
Approved also was a resolution for Hughart Family Private Cemetery located at the N/2 SW/4 and the SW/4 SW4 and the NW/4 SE/4 SE/4 SW/4 and the SE/4 and the SE/4 SE/4 NW/4 and the SW4 NE/4 and the W/2 SE/4 NE/4 of section 4 Township 13 North Range 23 east, Sequoyah County.
Under old business, approval was voted on to award a bid for the Tax Board Fire Training Building groundwork.
