Vian FFA wins two state judging titles
Members of the Vian FFA Chapter won first-place honors in the State FFA Land Judging and the State FFA Home-Site Evaluation Career Development Event during the 2023 Oklahoma FFA Career Development Events at Oklahoma State University on April 29.

Team members on the winning land team include Kala Gibbins, Gracie Risley, Harley Casey and Madison Ross In individual rankings, Gibbins earned first high individual overall and earned a $1,000 scholarship. Risley earned second high overall and Casey earned fourth high individual overall respectively.
Team members on the winning Homesite team included Autumn Richey, Natalie Guthrie, Madison Ross and Chasity Smith. In individual ranking, Richey earned high individual overall with a perfect score. Guthrie and Ross tied for second overall respectively.
Team members and high individuals from both teams were recently recognized for their accomplishments at the 97th Oklahoma State FFA Convention in Tulsa on May 3. Those members attended the “Breakfast Of Champions” at 7:30 on Wednesday morning in the BOK Center. Shortly after breakfast, members took group photos with their winning teams and individual contests sponsors. After the photo session students lined up back stage before eventually going across the main stage and receiving their championship trophies and medals.
FFA is an integral part of the Agricultural Education division in the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education system.
